Hi
I've had all sorts of horses over the past 30 odd years but this is the first coloured show cob we've had. She was clipped out and hogged when we bought her last May but as my daughter just wanted to get to know her, build up a partnership and have fun without showing we left her to grow out. She's currently in work but wintering out wearing a turnout rug. Our first show is 3rd March so I'm wondering when the best time would be to hog and take her feathers off. Should I forget the March show and wait for a couple of months before removing her legs and mane? Does anyone else have a cob living out who is trimmed up all year?
