when was the last time everyone rode?

yesterday in the snow - I haven't really stopped just cos it snowed - I dug a track in the school but went off piste most of the time as its easier in fresh snow. Haven't done much trotting though but worked on halting, straight lines, cornering and suppleness! The only difference is the sessions were much shorter as they were a bit dull for both of us but as we had only just started trot work again after lameness it wasn't really much different to before the snow! Horse still fat and unfit!

Started having lessons with a view to having them every other day and then the white stuff came. That was two weeks ago and the school has been frozen ever since.

Only hacked Ban up the village as the school is still occupied with horses being turned out in it.

It was absolutley p*ssing down but you know what......I DIDNT CARE!

Hopefully I'll be able to lunge lord soon who I haven't ridden since December!

Last weekend!

I'm in Scotland and we've had hard packed snow on the ground for nearly 4 weeks. Every other horse on the yard has been off work but my girl with her easyboots has been able to get out and play in the snow (it's very scarey though, everything is has changed colour!)

Haven't ridden for 11 days and won't be able to get to yard until Saturday at earliest. Lost 10 days of riding over Xmas too due to snow, ice and being away.

Probably have to start with lunging - there was a bit of an "incident" last time he had 10 days off

our snow had nearly melted yesterday and i was just about to call the farrier to get him to come and put storm's shoe on at the weekend, woke up thismorning to 2inches of fresh snow!! Cant ride in the field as we have 2 inch thick packed snow/ ice under the new snow!!!

4th Jan, so luckier than a lot of you, I had a jumping lesson the day before as well and we did have a great session on the Monday but then it snowed and have only managed a couple of lunges since, oh my ever growing thighs!!!! Fingers crossed for this weekend though, dont care how wet I get!

I usually dont ride much nov and dec as work is manic and its too cold..... I am not too bothered about it at the moment to be honest..... Merlin is happy enough turned out so whats to gain by freezing myself to death
