Riding makes me smile so much, I probably smile at least a few times every time I ride.
I laugh too, but sometimes I frown and I often get scared, and I do swear, but generally I love riding my horse.
Today! First time had a decent hack for ages and the dog was running along side us. Then nearly cried cause I don't own her (but have looked after her full time for the last 3 years) and her owners are thinking of sending her away very soon
After a couple of cr*p evening schooling sessions last week, we had a much much better session tonight and my loan horse went beautifully by the end. Cue big pats and smiles!

Oh no, Feel for you, when I read this. hugs X
Today riding my best friends mare, 1) because she trusts me enough to let me on her! and 2) because pony is amazingggggg! Was doing stuff I'd never done before xxxx
Last time I smiled was when my horse tanked off on a derby type course - about 3 weeks ago
So out of character for him, it was lovely
But I struggle to remember before that when the last time I smiled was - which saddens me
I do this for fun, but I never "enjoy" riding, I am more focused on working through problems and improving horse
But then thats what I do - I always buy green horses and train them myself, so sometimes I feel very frustrated as the horse is the product that I have made, so when things go wrong i tend to hang up on that!
It would have been the last time I rode her, as I always feel happy if she is ok to be ridden now being as we are so restricted lately due to the lameness. Here's hoping her new shoes will have me smiling again soon, thus just to ride her makes me smile now.
The last time I rode so two weeks ago and it was the second time riding my new share horse and I took her on a wee hack. She was a star considering she hasn't left yard in two years!
Well me riding was sunday when i got bucked off - the little man is still showing me what he can do
! Sooo naughty but funny as very unlike him!!
As for seeing people ride had to be today, head boy on our yard was riding one of the mares on full livery who got her owner off the other day - she shied at something and he lost his balance, then thought he had saved himself but will still off balance and asked the mare to move, so she took one final sharp step sideways and he landed (still in like a sitting position so looked like he was still in the saddle) square on his bum! Was only so funny though because all the other liverys were drinking tea and coffee and watching at the time
! Never heard someone get so much abuse about their riding poor man!! Hehe
last weekend when I last rode the racehorse. He's sold now, so it really will have been my last ride, but he was perfect and went better than he ever had before
Today. The forecast was for rain but we had gorgeous sunshine so out we went! Not the most energetic of rides but pleasant none-the-less with snow drops out in bloom and a hint of spring in the air. It felt good.
