where are you in the country and has the storm hit yet?

Wiltshire, seems pretty quiet here. Was windy and rainy last night, and earlier today when I was trying to dig my trailer out of a muck heap (don't ask) but its quiet now

the time son your threads are wrong or I am going mad.

its raining in this part of essex but no wind and has been a lovely day

my daughter made me move the ferrets into the brick built out buildings this evening just in case the top blows of their wooden wendy house and run

Devon calling - the rain is fairly heavy but not that bad and there is no wind.... yet. I understand the bad stuff is due here during the early hours of tomorrow morning

East Kent, it has been breezy today and then went still when we shut the animals up for the night. Wind is picking up and rain lashing against the windows. Will check the horses before bed but they have stayed out as it will be safer than the stables we have got .

Wind has picked up a bit and still raining hard in Hampshire.

Ps had anyone else noticed that the time hasn't been changed on this forum so it's reading an hour ahead?

I'm going to bed now to the tune of someone's blasted car alarm that keeps being set off by the wind. May have to retreat to the spare room. Still raining.

Mid Suffolk. Now much quieter here. Had been windy most of the day but not now. Some rain but nothing serious maybe it's the calm before the storm...who knows?

Shropshire - ridiculously windy this morning, probably not helped by being surrounded by woodland on 3 sides - horses going mad and wheelbarrows etc flying all over the place with heavy rain, branches off trees. Was dreading this evening but calmed down late afternoon and is now oddly silent and still..

Really calm here in East Mids. Weather forecast said there would be heavy rain and that the winds would follow after. . . Guess " calm before the storm" is a well tested saying.

Also in shrops, its very still here now, its 11.45pm (real time) its been v wet n windyon n off all daybut thankfully there's a break before it all kicks off again, hopefully it will be quieter than expected - keep save everyone

I've got to get back to uni in Worcester fom York tomorrow on the train... Fingers crossed cross country and London midland are still running!

Quiet as a lamb outside here in Yorkshire...

ETA: the calm before the storm? ;)
