Need some ideas please. I never have any secure pockets to put my phone in the summer, and i dont like putting it in the zip pocket of my jods as it really is too big. i have ridden with the phone holder on my arm but all too often they seem to get loose and slip down my arm.
So what do you use?

i usually shove mine down the side of my boots! i wear long leather riding boots so it fits quite snugly haha!

I'm the same i weat a strappy top and my phone is too big for the pocket in my jods!

I have the same problem! I usually shove it in the waistband of my jods as it's too big for the pocket although this isn't ideal!
Would love some better ideas too!

Ditto the hi-viz with pockets and have shoved it down my bra before but have heard that it ruins the phone if you get sweaty ?

Someone on here recommended an SPI-belt last year, I got one from sports direct for 3.99 and its brilliant, will stretch to fit a few things, or be small enough just fit a phone in and it doesn't bounce around or get in the way. Brilliant!

I have a hi viz with velcro pockets although if I plan to go fast I put it down my trousers & sits just above my chaps just so its doesn't full out. I have had some funny looks while my hand is down my pants trying to get it, couple of lady's on yard have asked me what I am doing :o

Ooooh thanks for the ideas - never thought of putting it down my boot. Just looked at the sports belt thingy and was impressed - might go with that one...

many thanks

So, how about buying a cheap phone "sock" and sewing it to the inside of your hi viz, once you work out where it will (a) fit, and (b) not be in the way/uncomfortable ? I think I might try this. :)

I used to put it down my boot, but one day it slid all the way down and I stood on it and had to get off to get the phone out my boot lol!

I did that once and it started sliding down my thigh when I was cantering. Ended up by my knee.

No room in my bra for anything else.

I'm wondering how many HHO's have correct fitting bra's if they manage to fit an iPhone in them?!!

I wrongly have a woof wear phone holder that i attach to my saddle, a bit useless if either horse decides to ditch me!!

I am a lame-ass and wear an Eastpak bum-bag from TK Maxx. A 'fanny pack' as our friends in the USA call them. This is because my iphone won't fit down my boot. It also holds a hoof pick and keys which is handy when horse is living out, I don't need to drag a load of stuff over when I am checking him in his field, I can just hop out of the car wearing my gorgeous bum bag.

I am slightly jelouse of you pulling off the "fanny pack" look I have always wanted to but never had the balls to do so :D

In a little pouch cliped to the d-ring on front of saddle or if in western in the horn bag with my water bottle. thanksfully i trus tmy horse not to run off should i succed in falling out the saddle but sadly porbably not much use if i did need to call for help and ned decided to abondon me in a ditch. in the days before mobiles when i had a pager this use to have a pouch which slid on to my belt maybe you could clip one to your belt loops or belt if your wear one jsut hope you dont land on it when you fall though thepouches i had were padded

I strap mine to my leg, or sometimes arm. But I have an old fashioned phone that I don't mind too much if I whack it on a gate post - 99p on ebay or similar will replace it :)

The first aid advice (from the BHS first aider course) is:

1. You can die from blood loss from an injury to the body or the leg so do not put your phone, keys, hoofpick into a pelvis or chest pocket on clothing or a leg chap or a bum bag around your middle.

2. You are unlikely to die from blood loss from an injury to the arm so strap the phone to your arm.

3. You need the phone on you, not the horse, as if you fall and the horse runs off, you are phoneless.

...having read and accepted all of that, my phone's either in my jodphur or jacket pocket, or bum bag around my middle.

I Put mine in the top of my half chaps :) (It sometimes is interesting getting it back out again!)
Or sometimes I wear a very thin bodywarmer with zip up pockets :)

I buy jods that I know I can fit my phone in the zip up pockets of (happen to be cheap eBay ones!).

might get a little hi vis gilet with zip pockets too though as I can never carry enough stuff in my pockets, car keys, emergency money (I figure an emergency tenner is always handy!)
