See this is what I don't get. You guys are all saying these breeders just do it for the money. This pony is supposedly 4 years old and they are selling it for what? £350? Where I live that wouldn't even keep a mare alive for 2 months and that's forgetting about the 18 months it takes to keep her till the foal is 6 months old. And then to keep it for another 3 years. That works out a sight more than £350. So unless they buy from other even dimmer breeders who sell for pennies to the auctions or whatever then there aren't many people making much money out of a pony such as this. I can't see why anyone would bother breeding anything if all they end up with is a piddly £350 once it gets to riding age.
You needn't think he spent £350 "breeding" it! It wasn't bred at all, the dams and sires roam around scrubland and it was born along with goodness knows how many others I expect. That's as far "bred" as it got.
