whereabouts in Ireland?

Hopefully you won't kick me out as, despite living in Surrey, my parents and their herd are in Donegal. Which, by the way, I describe to my English friends as 'geographically north, politically south'....

I'm Dublin as well, didn't realise there are actually a fair few from Ireland on here!

Also, *waves* Hi Aru, how's the whesht treating you?? ;):D

The cows havent managed to kill me yet :P

Il be up in dublin after the spring see can I get a long weekend off.....I vote with reunion time! :D

I'm crashing in :D I've lived in England my whole life but have relatives in the south west :) Half irish and certainly feel it!

I'm another gatecrasher from England......hope you don't mind.

I Spent 3 years at Uni in Coleraine followed by another 5 living and working in Belfast before I came back to England.
Used to keep my horse at a yard between Coleraine and Ballymoney but she was originally born and bred in Co Down.

Ooh, when were you at Coleraine and what did you study?? I was there but a long long time ago now :)

Ta me i mo chonai i Co. Uibh Fhaili. Agus anois ta an aimsir go halainn ar fad Gadetra!

We should do this in other non Irish threads to find each other easily, although I'll struggle with the most popluar focal on here such as "barefoot" and "micronised linseed" - anyone know the Irish for cob??

Is as Uibh Fhaili ea mo Mhathair, cén ait in san Uibh Fhaiii? Táim sa Bhaile Áth Cliath anis ach is as Longfort me i mo dhocaí. Tá mo gramadach go hanaimh!

I struggle with written Irish (see above!) I think we can cover the specialist words with "onshí" ;)

The Irish for cob is taracór ha ha! :D

Ich studierte Deutsch in der Schule!

I live outside the beautiful village of Geashill.

Its nice having a specific Irish part of the forum, there are problems specific to Ireland that some people in the UK don't seem to understand! *shudders at the thought of saddle fitters*
