which boots do you love? (Human boots..)

Ariat Grasmeres. I've had them for twenty+ years, used very regularly and still going strong. I also have Toggi short lace-up ankle boots and long boots. Both the same age. Hunter wellies and Woof Wear waterproof ankle boots, equally ancient and still trucking on. I do look after them well, though.

This is what I like to hear - things that last forever. I did fail to mention it took me 15 years to decide my mountain horse boots are too uncomfortable (so they’ve lasted incredibly well, they still look relatively good - I’m actually gutted that I hate them!! 😂)

Talking of boots, I may or may not have forgotten about two pairs I have in boxes, I hid them and forgot about them. Of course OH came across them yesterday 😂 he just slipped it in with the conversation… 😂😂 so I just said! Oh thank you for reminding me, I forgot about them!! He said ‘see you buy that much sh1t you don’t know what you have’

Ach well 😂😂 incidentally his £140 cycling top arrived yesterday that I treated him to so he was promptly reminded lol 😂

Ha! My OH isn’t saying anything about my boot hunt as I’ve sold my current ones - I’ve cracked it I think 😎

As with most things, they stopped making my favourites 🤬
ETA it looks like you can still buy them - Rhinegold elite Luxus. Leather is very soft and come in a variety of calf sizes. Probably not the most hard wearing. I have had to replace a zip which the saddler will only do once. But worth it for me as they fit my twig like calves. ( I’m now trying to decide whether to buy a spare pair!!)

Yes I’m in two minds about whether I mind if the long boots are hard wearing now, if I buy short boots & chaps for hacking it doesn’t matter so much so I’ll have a look!

The prices seem to have gone up since I bought mine, although I suppose most stuff has!

Yes I think everything’s more expensive (based on the fact that I got a good price for my 15 yo mountain horse boots 😳). Luckily OH has offered new boots as a birthday present 😎😇 lucky lucky

Just love my Ariats. Have the Telluride lace ups and Grasmeres. My daughter has the Conistons and Bromonts. Just fit so well and I think last a good length of time considering the harsh environment.

I quite like Dublin boots. I don't ride in any long boots unless I am showing. Short boots and chaps all the way. I like to be have full flexibility of my ankles.

When riding my own in summer it's trainers. Normal bog standard trainers 😂

I love in my short Ariat heritage lace up, and have a long version to ride in, just such a shame the leather quality isn't what it used to be

I am a hopeless, lost cause of an Ariat addict. On my shoe rack and under the stairs I have 2 pairs of Tellurides, 3 pairs of Maxtrax, 1 pair of Ridgeways (about 20 years old and still smart and useful), 2 pairs of Radcotes, 2 pairs of Grasmeres, 1 pair of trainers and 1 pair of Skyline mids (which are my first disappointment from Ariat as they're a 5.5 - same as all the others - but they squish my feet and I don't wear them).

I’ll probably go for a smart pair of ariats - de niros look very nice but as of about an hour ago im now looking to buy a new hat so budget needs adjusting 🤦‍♀️😂

I've only worn Toggi for about the last 15 years! I have yard boots, long boots and short boots. I find they're wide enough in the foot (I have EE feet) without being too wide in the calf or too narrow at the ankle. They seem to last ages as well, although I do rinse off any dirt each time I wear them.

I really like the look of those Kentucky storm bareback boots so they’re a definite.

I’d just like to take this opportunity to remind everyone that if you’re opting for short boots or even trainers, consider adding chaps too. I’ve scuffed my shins good and proper taking a tumble today in short boots & wouldn’t have in my long ones … 🙈😂

I've just bought a pair Bareback boots and love them so comfortable.
I have the Grace, so comfy

Going for one not mentioned yet but Tredstep Donatello’s - my daily pair are hitting 7 years old this year, and my nice pair were immediately comfortable round the ankle from new!
