Which chapstick do you use?

Following on from the thread about the best handcream, I was wondering what chapsticks HHO'ers recommend.

I've currently got a Lypsyl strawberry flavoured one on my desk at work. Flavour is nice, but I find it's very hard, and it almost pulls the skin off my lips trying to apply it. I've also got one of the flat green and white tins of Vaseline Aloe Vera stuff on my desk, this feels better, but is really messy to apply and only seems to last for a couple of minutes.

So, what do you all recomend?

Nivea plain blue one is very good in this weather. It melts in summer and is too slimy but its not hard like my lypsyl one at the moment.

Is that a little sad that I have a selection of different brands for different weather?

I either use the green Aloe Vera vaseline.
Or Carmex, i love the stuff.

carmex..nice chery flavour, or burts bees. I actually find that vaseline makes my lips even drier for some reason.

Aloe lips from forever living, its great, really helps and I never get chapped lips anymore

I use vasaline aloe vera aswell, but dont think its that great and think its unhygenic to put it on with your fingers!
Ive heard Blistex is brilliant, I gonna get some later today.

Nivea blue one is fab, also neutrogena do one, body shop vit e one and blistex intensive moisturizer (its like a cream in a tiny tube). I generally stick to these as others I've tried, esp fragranced ones, make my lips really red and flaky after a couple of applications. I make sure to slick a load on first thing in the morning and last thing at night, as well as before going outside (at the same time as I cover my hands in cream too!). So far so good with minimal flake-age!

I suffer quite badly with chaped lips and the best thing I have found (by far) is Palmers Cocoa Butter Formulation Moisterising Lip Balm. It is amazing!

Elizabeth Arden 8hr stuff is sitting in my office, but I can't get it due to all the snow! It's brilliant!

Also rate the Blistex intensive moisturiser and Carmex (but only in the tube version) If you're working outside at all I don't think the pots are very handy...I usually drop mine or can't get the bloody things open with gloves on!

Clarins moisture replenish lip balm is fantastic, it's pricey but I ask for it at christmas and birthday and it lasts a long time.

I use the Neutrogena lip balm and have found it has helped no end. I now keep one on the yard and one in the car now touch wood no split bleeding lips or hands yet this winter.

I've got vaseline, blistex, lypsyl, carmex... I get a bit obsessed with lip balms. Carmex cherry is my favourite at the moment!

Vaseline aloe vera one in the green tin for usual everyday use and a Forever living aloe vera one for when my lips are really bad - it is brilliant!

I vote Blistex cream. It's helped my lips to heal in the past.

I've also just bought a Neals Yard Rose beauty balm - it's a cleanser and moisturiser and is quite oily but I slick some on my lips in the morning and it's very soothing. A good moisturising cleanser too - seems to drag the dirt out of pores without scrubbing.

I find lip balm swith a bit of 'tingle' in them seem to work the best.

I reckon vaseline just makes chapping worse.

Hands up who bites there lips once they get chapped and makes them even worse! *put hand up*

Never leave home with out either my pearly shine nivea or my nivea blue in my pocket, sometime both, they work in the sun, wind rain and snow always take them skiing and on holiday they are brill and don't get hard especially if you keep them in an inside pocket so your body heat warms them up a bit, have tried the vaseline ones but don't like the idea of mucking out and then using my fingers to put on lip balm!!!!!!

i really suffer with sore dry lips, i have tried loads of stuff. Elizabeth Arden 8hr cream is amazing but I have recently started using Dr Organic Manuka Honey lip balm http://www.drorganic.co.uk/honey-products.asp its is really cheap and lasts ages.got mine in holland and barrett.
