Maybe you shouldn't breed the bitch at all then. There are enough unwanted dogs in this world without more being popped out. Can you garantee (sp) all the pups will get a home? Both time we bred our lab bitch we had people queuing to take the pups (all working bred) We only had one we had to take back and even then it was only for a month or so to help along it's training.
Would you be willing to take a pup back if it turned out unsuitable?

So agree with this, it's an appalling reason to breed a litter.
Just look at all the rescue centres, have a word with Lab breed rescue itself; they will all tell you they are overcrowded and bursting at the seams and soon to be overburdened again with the residue of Christmas presents that have gone past the pretty stage or peed on the carpet once too often. Have you any idea of the time commitment, the money commitment and the heartache that could be involved?
If you want to make money sell your body or something but don't involve your dog in your hare brained schemes please, there are far too many labradors for homes as it is.
Has this just been posted to wind people up. You should never breed just to make money. While labradoodles seem to be all the rage at the moment I suspect the novelty will wear off before long, I have already heard of them being rehomed because they did not have the non moult coat people were hoping for.
Using a different stud dog won't guarantee you have a bigger litter. Some bitches are just more fertile than others. Please think again about breedign from your bitch.
Great piccie but I can't stand Poodles, grandparents had a few, snappy little spoilt, yappy brats! But I'd say that was a reflection of the way they had been brought up and not the breed!

after all vet costs, health checks, first vaccinations etc will there be much profit anyway? I imagine taking care of a litter of pups is v pricey.
Billy is a standard poodle and they are very different from toy and minature ones. they aren't yappy at all, very intelligent and loyal and great family pets. Billy is sometimes a little daft but I love him that way and his only 'problem' is his abundant enthusiasm for everything!
the little ones are yappy and annoying, but standards are fab! converted????
You really should have known better than to put that on here eventersrus !!!
As i said earlier totally agree with everyone else, but hope to god for the pups and the bitch sake everything goes ok!! -prehaps it was fate she only had one?

Couldn't agree more
Awful reason to have puppies.
Far too many people without a concience churning out badly planned litters, just to make money.
If you need some extra cash go do a flippin car boot sale or something
