I want to start Millie on a joint supplement as she has weak hocks and is likely to have problems in later life.

Am I better of just feeding her straight Glucosamine or Should I get an all round joint supplement and which one would you recommend?

I have George on a joint supplement as a preventative as he has windgalls all round and is a big lad. My vet recommended NAF superflex, I buy the big tub which is £50 but lasts for 4mths so not too bad.

I use Premierflex HA. Once you've loaded up for two weeks a tub lasts about three months and costs about £35. It has definitely helped FB with his back and hock problems. I also feed cider vinegar, which is alleged to help joints.

Cortaflex is supposed to be good

it is but not sure on how much you should give as all supplements have different amounts of Glucosamine in. I give my girl Cortaflex, not sure if I've noticed any difference and she's been on it for 4-5 months now I think.

I find the NAF 5* Superflex as good as anything. There's a noticable difference in our teenage cob between when he's on it & when he's not.
