Can't decide which picture to print. Which one gets your vote ?

Assuming they are different crops of the same image, I'd like something in the middle! Bit less of the background but not quite so zoomed in either! Lovely photo!
 
depends on the size of the print... by the looks of the second one it will just go incredibly fuzzy so I would do the first :) perhaps with slight cropping so it doesn't take the focus off the horse. I would make it so there is a fair amount above and below the horse but keep it the same width :)
 
I dont like the big tin pot thing in the background and the first has too much background or otherthings going on ie the big tin hat is taking over the interest and my eye was drawn to that(too dominating tin pot).

The close up is not free flowing enough of the horse(& you know how beautiful your horse is and running very free when you have posted before). The horse looks too tight as if it needs to explode and go free(too many lumps and bumps that are not kinda natural lumps and bumps of a horse).


Sorry to be so neg can you find another pic!! ?!! Being brutally honest.
 
Armas! First time I have ever looked at one of your pictures and not loved it. There are so so many beautiful photos of your boy... This certainly isn't the best. Please pick another! Not trying to offend, I just know there are better.

Gorgeous motif, and I like that you don't know what he's going to do next, is it just another stride, or is it perhaps a little buck? :D

I vote for the second photo, but if it is possible, I think it would look even better if you zoomed out just a little bit. The first photo feels like it has a big "empty" space to the left, and the rusty tin hat removes the focus from where you want it.

I'd agree with this ^^^^ :)
 
Don't particularly like either - the first as the composition is strange with the tinpot thingy and the second as losing focus and doesn't show Armas off to his best.

I love the horse in the first one with the background on the right and the grass, so if you can photoshop out the tinpot chimney and fill in by continuing the wall across behind Armas, it could be lovely.
 
Oh dear, sorry to say, I don't like either. Horse looks very tense in both, and the tin hat-thing takes the eye away from the horse.
As others who know your photo album contents seem sure you have many beautiful pictures of Armas,why not use one of them if you have a particular purpose in mind?
Unless the purpose was to show a powerful grey horse, being worried by a giant tin hat?

I was thinking A3 the quality of the print would not deteriorate to much as it is 1361 x 1179 686kb when cropped so still high quality.

The tin pot is a old water tower but that is rather a good description. I still like the second picture it shows power about to explode.

Thank you all for your comments :) I shall be out with the camera this week as its set to be sunny and 25 so may well ask for your opinion again :)
 
I would crop the second one to portrait, showing the head, forelegs, and shoulder, so it was full and almost brutal in the strength and power. Think baroque.

Have much preferred othe pictures of him though.

To me there is something awkward about the pose you have captured, it doesn't do him, or your work, justice.
