White Rubber Reins

Yeah, I know Im sad but I like how they look. Ive already got a black leather pair but where else makes them?
Are they really old School or just abit Hunter/Jumper??

I dont think Ive ever actually SEEN white rubber reins ever! Certainly not in use!

When were they used for hunter / jumper?

I remember when I was 7 or 8 getting some for my birthday! I was thrilled even though my mum hated them, now I have the orange ones (because I like the grips!!).
Are white rubber reins coming back into fashion then?
Another thing which was after that was to have a white saddlecloth with a fluffy coloured numnah on top!

I used to show jump in the whole white get up

reins, white backed noseband and browband, numnah, girth, over reach boots. The whole shbang

I bought a pair at Olympia two years ago ( had to have them, reminded me of my youth

) As I only hack now don't really care if they are sad and dated

Good lord, I used to have white rubber reins some 20 years ago on my horse as a teenager....... Also had a grakle noseband, a brass clencher browband and white front boots, totally de rigeur!

Some came with my first pony (about 20 yrs ago). I swaped them for a girth. Didn't like scrubbing the dirt off!

yes very 80's I had them at the time as pony's colours were black and white, you can just imagine!!! Havent seen any for years!

Please note the white german boots!!!! Very hip at the time!
White girth, bandages, numnah. Didnt have the white padding on the bridle as couldnt really afford it but how I would have loved it!!!

Sorry photos are a bit jaded but they are 26 years old!!!

My first pony came with white rubber reins and a white girth...
I used the reins until they went sticky, and eventually disintegrated - I was distraught!

Although not white, I do still have a bit of a 'thing' for bog standard rubber reins

I also ride with standing martingale and i'm about to swap to a drop noseband! How old will i be looking?!

Oh stroppy poppy iI ride with a standing, white reinds and when we are on in the standing we have a drop..retro!
