Who does dressage with their cob/native type and what level do you compete at?
Do you stick to traditional plain tack or do you go for the full dressage bling ie patent leather nosebands, diamante browbands etc.........i personally love the whole blingyness especially the patent nosebands and really love the v shape browbands.
My native cob type is showing real potential for dressage and am secretly very pleased she isnt a big heavy hairy sort, more of a LW type with little feather, big tail and a now pulled neat mane. She has 8" of bone, quite short coupled and very uphill, everything is coming together so planning on getting her out next year. I want to be competing at novice level eventually and maybe more, who knows.
Dressage saddle is next on the agenda (bonus month) now i just need to find her a bridle........hence the questions about bling!!
also i wanted to show her a bit next year - can i still show her in a dressage saddle? (colored classes etc) would be local level. If i went for brown then i suppose it would be suitable for both.........but if i did go for black i don't suppose i would be marked down would i as i know brown is more correct for the show ring??
Advice please\!!
So if anyone has got any blingy dressage cob/native pics would love to see them
