Who has upset them then?

Lilym..
It may be unfriendly at times but not very often and not by many people. i have not been made to feel that my horse is worth nothing but maybe some people are arrogant in thinking that their horses are the best because they go out a compete all the time, are affiliated ect. but personally i have not seen this(although i have been on here long) To me my horse is perfect(most of the time) and i wouldnt sell her for a £1000000 although she certainly isnt worth that.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

if it is not their personal opinion does it make it ignorant?

Perhaps their comments were directed at those who are ignorant of the facts only.......

No. There are occasional flare-ups but by and large, it's OK. If you really want un-friendly try the NFED forums . . . . flippin' 'eck. . . . there are about half a dozen members who have completely taken over and post the most horrifyingly nasty replies to perfectly innocent questions. The owner of the site has had to shut it down on more than one occasion.

This forum is no different to any other forum, whether it be horse related or not.

Yes, some may feel it's cliquey, some may feel 'got at' but it really isn't any different.

I personally haven't seen any unfriendliness. I've not been posting for that long, granted, but I've seen outspoken, to the point and factual posts.

Is the SFAS forum any different to this with the derogatory comments made about this forum? No, it isn't.

Is this forum cliquey - no it isn't. Some have been posting for a long time and have 'got to know' others in a cyber type of way and occasionally in an RL way.

I post on one of the Ebay community boards, Q&A, now that can be nasty and unfriendly. Have a read of that and then you'll realise that this forum really isn't that bad.

It's not like SFAS are all perfect and always friendly because its not. In fact proof of this is when some1 on there just disagreed that HHO were just being truthful..

The difference with the H&H forum is that people actually tell the truth and don't say 'nice' things just so they don't hurt people's feelings, like this forum.

IMO it's refreshing to go somewhere where people are honest about the things you ask them and don't just lie to make you happy!

Maybe you should take it as a credit to yourself if users think your horses are produced....I myself was put last in a young handlers class many years ago as the judge thought my Shetland was 'produced', I took that as a COMPLIMENT and didn't start an argument with said judge.

If you are willing to take off your rose tinted SFAS Forum glasses then you are welcome back at the H&H forum, but remember we don't like trouble makers who can't take other people's personal opinions into account.

CMee.

Who do you think you are telling us whether or not we are welcome on the H&H forum anyway? I don't remember seeing 'SFAS forum members not allowed' when I joined!!

[/ QUOTE ]

I wouldnt exactly call that a nice reply and that wasnt the only nasty comment she got.

Sorry AmyMay, my last post wasn't directed at you, I've not quite figured out how to do a general, not directed at anyone post yet - must learn!

count yourself lucky you have integrated into the popular clique then..... i have been on this forum for a good few years now and have seen and had experience of some very nasty behaviour....

In my own opinion i think what the SFAS forum members who posted comments on that thread (some very nasty and others not so nasty) were trying to do was bully the HHO members who had been to SFAS and thought it was c**p in their own opinion into changing their views by being offensive and nasty and generalised this whole forum as a bunch of unfriendly sour grapes, this is why i was annoyed, hence the nasty comment on here.

Who the h**l do you think you are - I think you'll find that on this forum that at least we have tact and diplomacy and say the truth but in a constructive way - we're here to back eachother up and spur eachother on not slag eachother off.
We have as much right as you to speak on any forum we wish - it isn't your forum to say who can or can't put comments on, we'll speak when or where we like, at least we comment in a mature responsible manner as we don't want to offend people - that's not what it is about.
I hardly think you can class us as trouble makers - I think you should look in the mirror - coming on this forum with remarks like yours [ QUOTE ]

Sorry but PMSFL - isnt that exactly what they did?? - come onto HHO to cause trouble??

Look in your own mirror love - you may see a very similar image.

there you go, you said it yourself...you talk too much, therefore have made yourself a popular member...those who don't post often ot will argue their point are made to feel "second class".

lol v_k exactly what i was thinking.. yes very mature of her!! It was them 'ganging up' and bullying as a group. I was also them who said they didnt like the forum and the people were unfriendly, why would they want to write here if the people were so horrid??
My comment was nasty TBO n i shouldnt have lost my temper but i can guarentee most of them are alot older than me(this is no excuse i know) so you'd think they would act a little more grown up and realise that categorising the whole forum was a stupid and unfair thing to do and that some people would obv. take offence at that

me being 1 of them

I'm afraid I have to disagree, and that's from someone who has alot less years than you and posts.

It's the same as any forum and the same as RL in a way, you get back what you put in.

As i said i have only been on here a month so havent seen it yet, not saying it doesnt happen, just that i havent seen it. I have been argueing my point on here and not all the comments in reply have been positive or agreeing with me but it isnt going to make me think i'm not entitled to my opinion and i will argue my point to the ground if i have too. Sometimes things need to be taken with a pinch of salt and other times thing are just plain nasty and need to be argued with... yes i know, a very silly thing to put after some of the stuff i have written on here about being personally offended ect.

No, not still at school lol not that young. Do you say that because i come across that way or were you just asking? I'm 19 so am guessing im quite young compare to some of them and indeed alot of the HHO lot aswell.

if you are of a certain clique and have competition horses rather than native ponies,,,then yes you will get alot more back than you put in, sorry but that's the way i see it...just wait until you are the victim of the bullying that can go on on this forum.

i think im both part of the 'fat native pony clique' and the 'talks so much people dont ignore me clique' also 'the young n has too much to say clique' but i think everyone talks to me in a respectful way.

Sorry if you've been a 'victim of bullying', it's a shame that you feel that way.

I can definately say that I won't be a victim of bullying. Why not? - because I'll press that off button and I don't really believe in bullying in that form on a forum such as this.

I don't feel that I need to fit in. I post on whatever threads I like, I appreciate that others will have differing opinions to me. I'll challenge unpleasantness and unecessary remarks made against me, but I accept constructive criticism and that everyone has a different way of expressing an opinion.

Most of all, I accept that I haven't been posting for that long and haven't made that many posts, so I don't expect an influx of replies or acknowledgements.

I'm also not posting to make friends, this is cyber world to me and one I can switch off at any point.

Still, like I've said, it's a shame you feel that way.
