So who's are in. And who's are out?
I work full time so if they're in, they are in all day. Not during hottest part etc.
Stables are also warm...as its American barn type & not a lot of air flow?
Left my boy out today, fly masked. Fly rugged.

In summer they live out. They have a field shelter and plenty of trees for shade, so probably best out than in a box (the ones on the yard captures the sun all day so just as hot!).

The only time I would consider bringing in is if they are in fields/paddocks without any natural or man made shelter to escape from the sun on such a hot day.

Mine are both out, and the pink nosed one is sun screened / fly masked.

There is little shade in our field, but actually its been warm for a good few days already, i think its far worse when its a shock change in temp. I'm sure they will be fine - they wont get worked until it is passed though : )

One is already in, one is in a small pen under a tree & about to come in, and the other is in a shady paddock!

Our 'proper' fields have no shade, but the stables are cool. Luckily I'm home today so I can nip out and check them. The flies are almost worse than the sun at the moment.

Our girls are in. Both have white noses and both rub sun cream off.. usually on each other. We have no shade at all and I would rather they might feel hot in than be out, still feel hot and also burn. They will both be back out around 5pm, so not too bad and they do rather enjoy being in.

Mine have been in since early morning. I'm lucky to have shaded brick stables so they're always quite cool. It's hot here in the South East, but not as hot as was forecasted.

out.
they all have fly rugs, masks and shade.

brick stables so cool but they are in overnight anyway so changing routine for the sake of a week if a faff. unless they appear distressed they stay out (i am often back at yard teaching at lunch so could grab them in if they did look uncomfortable)

In despite the field having plenty of shade. Our barn is lovely and cool and they don't get bothered by the flies. Even in a fly rug and covered in spray my mare is miserable and banging the door to come back in within 5 minutes so why make her stay out. She goes out overnight most nights unless we're competing the next day and she's much happier in that routine.

Mine are all out. Stables get very hot and they don't want to be in at the moment anyway. I have opened up and secured my walkway for them as it has more shade than their field does so they should be fine. My biggest concern is that the big boy has sweet itch and I can't risk leaving him naked (he will easily take his whole mane out within one day!) I bought him another SI rug yesterday and bathed him so he is clean, wearing a clean rug which is lighter and fits a bit less flush to him. My poor 3yo's have never known weather this hot!!

Mine are out with fly masks and rugs.
Stables get far too hot and there's lot of shade in the field from trees and hedges, plus a stream for them to go paddling in.

Mine are out with suncream (filtabac, amazing stuff) on the pink nosed one. One has just finished 8 weeks box rest so there was no way I'd make him come in again bless him and they're better off under the trees in a breeze than in their hot stables which are in direct sunlight.

Mine is in (I hope!) because there is no shelter in the field. I put him out late afternoon yesterday smothered in sunscreen and flyspray, first thing the little swine did was dump his whole head almost in the trough!

Just brought 2 of ours in because they get really bothered by the flies and were stood by the gate looking miserable!!! Other one is left out as he isn't at all bothered!

Mine are all in, the ridden ones routine is in during the day through the summer anyway. The babies are in as the fields are being topped. I popped out earlier and checked them all and they are all flat out asleep.

Mine is out, I'm hoping he'll be ok. He's a native so doesn't care for the heat but his stable is an oven with poor air flow so I'm choosing the lesser of two evils! There's a bit of a breeze in the air so hopefully he'll be fine. There's no shade or shelter in his paddock.

Brought mine in about half an hour ago and he'll go out again around 5-6. He was flat out when I got there and also a lovely breeze was going but when the breeze stopped it was roasting and he was covered in horseflies.

Not exactly cool in stable but a lot cooler than in field and he's not being eaten alive!

Out- lots of natural shade so they're just as well off there. The cob got a bath after his ride and I'm keeping an eye on the elderly Shetland who still has some winter coat- they're not struggling at all to be honest :) We've competed abroad in much hotter and they were fine although clipped that year :)

Mine are in during the day at the moment anyway as one has cushings so worried about laminitis. If they were normally out during the day then I would be getting them in today as we have no shade in our field at all.
