Hi.

I just wondered who you guys would recommend for lessons.

Having recently purchased my own horsebox i now have the option to travel for lessons around Surrey.

Thankyou!

I agree - my Kent based instructor has done a huge amount with the TTT. They are some excellent people involved at the trust - you should go and watch Charles de Knuffy teaching at one of the clinics there, it's so lovely to watch the horse being put first and the rider being pulled apart before the horse is blamed!!!!

I am in Surrey. I have dressage lessons with Sara-Jane Lanning at Parwood and Merrist Wood. Also with Damian Hallam at Parwood. For jumping I train with Australian Olympian Chris Burton at his base in Dunsfold although he also does clinics at Parwood and Coombelands. When I can't get him I also have lessons with Lucy Thompson at LMEQ and there are usually lots of other clinics around too. Spoilt for choice round here.

When I was having lessons I go to Thundry Farm, Christine is very good at looking at the whole package rather than just when you turn up for your lesson. She does all sorts of clinics at her yard so you could do one of those instead.
I can't really recommend anyone for flat or xc as I don't use anyone for those.
I guess it depends on what sort of lessons you want but there are lots of good instructors about but different people like different things.
