I also remember someone telling me about some kind of society for horsebox/trailer owners which includes livestock recovery etc...? Can't for the life of me remember what it's called, someone enlighten me please...
Recommendations pleeeeease!
Thanks

I'm with NFU for insurance, it is a 'bolt on' to my horse policy, assume that you can insure without the horse though. I'm with Equine Rescue Services which is added on with my RAC membership, I can't remember the exact price, but it was around £50 - I have used them twice, first time was about 5 miles from home, they sent a lorry for the horse and the RAC took the 4x4 on a truck and towed the trailer home. The second time I was around 120 miles from home, RAC took the 4x4 and they sent a lovely lady with a landrover who towed my trailer and horse home. Both times I can't fault the service, they kept in touch with me at all times, co-ordinated with the RAC and the nice landrover lady didn't mind the dogs in the back either!! Well worth the money for peace of mind!

before my trailer was nicked by some horrible types (restraining myself) it was insured with Petplan - they paid out straight away with no problems...
