We are now 99% sure that there is a medical problem with this horse. I don't blame him, but at the same time as he is unpredictable he's not safe.
Really really want him to get better. He's booked for more scans, scopes and xrays.
It is so obvious that this horse has some form or a physical or psychological problem. My horse had a severe cervical spine compression (wobbler) that made him very aggressive.
He picked a vet up by her hair !!

i worked with a gelding years ago who could be very unpredictable, if he went for you it was all out like a stallion going for another stallion, it was usually the teeth that came for you but he was not adverse to kicking with the front or back end too.
he was cross tied to be able to groom or tack up but you could have him loose to clip and he would doze off, he was turned out with about 9 other geldings and one morning they all came with the same type of injury, it looked like he had got hold of them on their withers and just held on as they ran off, all had open wounds along the saddle area, his owner threw all the money she could getting him investigated over a long period, one day he threw his rider off in a staff lesson and went for her whilst she was on the floor, luckily our instructor used to always have a lunge whip next to her chair and she got him off before any damage was done. he went to live out in a large retired herd and was fine but i lost touch after a year or so so am not sure what happened to him from there.

That's good to hear, but who is going to handle him for the vet exams? The vets will be fully pre warned about just how unpredictable he is?

I’ve no idea who should pay but a bitey horse is horrible. I’d put a grazing muzzle on it to lead it I think.
