Just need to get this off my chest and thought you lovely people were just the ones to hear me moan!
I have recently started sharing horsey chores with a friend i.e. he does both our horses in the mornings and I do evenings. Horses are on separate small yards within one big yard, about 100 yards away.
Anyway, got them both in from the field yesterday, tied them both up on his yard, washed his horses feet off and put him in his stable with a haynet and couldnt see any dinner left out. I said to people on his yard do you know where his dinner is, and they said no. So took my boy over to my yard, started washing his legs off and text my friend to see if he had forgot to leave it out. He had left it in his chest as the mice had been getting to it and forgot to let me know.
Went back over a couple of minutes later, and saw that there was only one bowl of food in there (usually 2, one for breakfast). Went to his stable and the horse was munching away. They had called him and said I hadnt given his horse any dinner and that they would do it for him.
Is it just me or is that s**t stirring! Two thinks really piss me off about this. 1) I was only 100yards away, if they were really concerned that the horse wasnt going to get any dinner, why didnt they come and ask me they know I do his horse in the evenings now. 2) Had I have finished my horse off before going back over to feed him, he may have ended up having two dinners which could have given him colic.
Also found out they have been bitching that I just wash his legs off and chuck him in his stable for the night. What they dont reaslise is that I do that, go and do my horse, then go back and pick his feet out, adjust his rugs and clean his eye up (he gets a gammy eye), as I dont like leaving my horse tied up at their yard for too long. Coz they are gone by then, they dont see this and have just assumed that I dont bother. AHHHHHH!!
Spoke to my friend this morning and he said he was a bit confused as he got a text from me and a call from them, so explained to him and at least all is OK with us now.
Rant over!
