to get on a horse they have no connection with?

I'd hate to think of mine or anyone else's old/young/injured/heavily in foal horse being jumped on by a random idiot, in fact I don't like the though of someone doing that to the most healthy of animals.

I realise it unlikely the horse was harmed in anyway but such behaviour could make a youngster a hell of a lot more difficult to back, or cause injury to a very young, very old or already injured animal.

Well she should not have been doing that but the horse won,i was more amazed by the lack of grass and the amount of rubbish that was there.

We had a guy from Russia on my course at moreton morrell. He went into the youngsters paddock and decided to ride one, he then got thrown off of course. This was videoed by a student ad te whole college saw it. When the lecturers got it they jut gave him a slap on the wrist!! If it was an English student then I'm sure they would of been kicked out

'wild' horses in kent eh? i wonder if they're pink and fly too..

the only people i know of who keep coloured cobs in pasture with that amount of rubbish are travellers. which is what im guessing they are, unbroken young stock or driving cobs perhaps.

but yeah, the poster above who said 'stupid kid' has it. Girl was lucky she didnt end up with a smashed skull she certainly landed hard enough.

...and in this age of litigation if she did she'd probably try to sue the horse's owner too!

pedantic - LOL I'm surprised the last word isn't censored ! Everything else is !

I watched the vid, makes you think of how many other kids do this, my field always has little girls wondering round it. If they tried to get on my boy I think he would have a heart attack. Some people are so stupid, I was pretty stupid when I was young but not THAT stupid !

What a tw/\t!!!!!!! and as for the 'I can horse ride' comment in the corner well she should have known better!
:D at pedantic

Did anyone else notice the message at the end, which read, 'Never attempt to exceed your ability'? Surely it wasn't a question of ability, it was a question of some random girl with no common sense attempting to ride a probably young, probably freaked out horse!

Stupid stupid girl

The comment on the side 'I can horse ride' evidently so considering you got on the wrong side.

Sorry to hi-jack thread slightly but went up to the field the other day to find a parent and child (aged 4 ish) with said child sat on Beauty ! (who is 44) Have got to say that I didn't mince my words but the parent said 'Its a public footpath so we can do what we like !!!'

Stupid people

 Silly, silly people! Since when was a horse part of a footpath? Gosh, some people have no common sense!

I wouldn't have minced my words either if I was you. People seem to think they can do as they please with horses and it is terrible. Just because a footpath runs through a field people think the horses can be played with, I wish they would leave them alone entirely as feeding tidbits encourages the horses to interfere and investigate walkers and most people don't like that very much.

What an idiotic parent to put their child on a strange horse, they don't know if she is safe, some people really shouldn't be allowed the charge of a child.

Hope Beauty is ok, she is a lovely girl :)

I often wonder what makes idiots in the population at large think it is ok to feed, sit on, plait etc. etc. horses in fields. Drives me bonkers! We had one mare with so many feed intolerances that her diet had to be very carefully monitored, but as she was a pretty mare who people thought was a sweetie, she was the one they fed all the sweets etc to. :( We have no footpaths through our field, but does that stop them? No it bleddy well doesn't!. I think they must all be the same nationality as pedantic says this silly bint is!

It is alarming that people do this, however, I would love to see them have a go on either on my boys (the girl would just stand there...)
