We were feeling quite smug and pleased that we were doing dressage to music today and not eventing ,as everything is cancelled.
Then we go up the stables at 7.00 to bring him in and find he has been playing fighting all night and he has pulled a shoe off,DAMN.
Everyday he comes in with his sweetitch rug ripped around the hood as the livery he is out with chews and rips it.Everyday we mend it[its patchwork now with t shirts and mens undies]
We trotted him up and he is sound ,so my daughter has gone off to the show as we hope the surface will do no damage [he has strong feet and the foot is not broken]and we have problems finding any music qualifiers.
Would you have gone to the show?
I don't know what to do about this playing ,the other horse is old and I think it's our horses fault. We have two fields but he doesn't get on with my other horse [they won't put up with his playing]. I could put him out during the day and bring him in at night but he would have to be by himself and I worry he will not be socialized enough to go back out with his friend in the winter. He has an enormous field so shouldn't be bored and is ridden everyday but he is accident prone and the rug is driving us mad [already tried nasty tasting spray on it]
