i have not had a horse since approx Aug -and its horrible! i really miss the mare but even more just being on the yard and (dare i say it) even mucking out?!

ive decided us horsey people must be a rare breed actually getting depressed when we cant spend all the winter months covered in sh*t and having fingers practically dropping off from frost bite!

yeah there is a riding school near by but its a bit basic i.e. crap hole. lol but i may venture up there when i get some money together.

I think horses are 'in you' if you know what I mean and it doesnt go away. I sometimes moan when its cold and wet or fancy a lie in but I dont know what Id do without one.

id love to be 14 again and be back at the racing yard my pony was kept at, eating my sarnies in the field with ponio and sharing the sausage rolls with her! good old days.

can i borrow someones time machine please??? or just more gin would do!

I felt so crap when I was horseless I used to go down the yard and offer to muck out pull manes and a couple of times I helped sweep the yard (its a very big yard) and I used to go and watch showjump practice and help build the fences.

OMG I'm actually in an identical position, I sold mine June time for uni and I am truly struggling! I'de give anything for my own, i miss that special bond you feel so much. My riding club is a pretty good standard and they have so lovely horses but it just does not compare. Let me know if it gets any easier!?
