The real A&E or helicopter heroes there is always someone who has fallen off their horse, or has been attacked by their horse or has been kicked by someone else's horse?!
Does anyone else find this odd? Or am I just assuming that the majority of people that get injured through horses "walk through the pain" ?
Its always the bad falls too - makes you realise just how risky riding really is!!
But the oddest one was the one where 2 people where cantering up a corn field, Horse A kicked out and caught rider B who was on her horse, looked a bit sore from outside of jodphurs, when air ambulance arrived (and doctor had lifted B from her horse!) took joddys off and...
partial amputation of knee
it was actually the most horrible thing ive seen - could see right down to bone and mucsles all torn off
Then they showed her 3 weeks later after surgery to clean etc.
And she was about to rider her horse - tough or just a normal horsey person?
