I really don't understand why people like Thoroughbreds, they are too skinny, and no-one can ride them and make them look nice. Please I need someone to explain why you would want one.

I think thats a bit of a sweeping statement? Perhaps to get backs up?

Personally, I have ridden some lovely TB's, who were not skinny and I was perfectly able to ride them well. I reschooled my last tb up to medium level dressage and was very successful in the show ring...so dont really see your point?

They are (generally!!) kind, sweet natured and very sensitive. Some people don't like this sensitivity so the horses get labeled as 'bad', others love the sensitivity and enjoy the trust that can be earnt. They wouldn't be my first choice I like something with a little native blood (crossed with a tb of course!!), but the ones I have come across have been absolute darlings. Sometimes misunderstood and defensive, but soft as s**t underneath it all!

Horses for courses and all that!

A very biased opinion I think. Have you ever seen a true chaser type TB.

Perhaps you would like to tell some of the top eventers in the world who are competing at Badminton this weekend that their TB's don't look nicely ridden.

Yes, I have already told them many times, they are as usless as as a 30 stone man on Shetland pony going to the guineas, personally I think Shetland:D would be more suited for badminton then a TB. TB's are skinny, and are no use, Shetlands carry little more weight, meaning they are less likley to fall over and have their backs broken. I feel your argument is invalid, please leave.

I don't know... Ours is terribly capable of getting het up over literally nothing- only yesterday he downed tools and had a serious stress attack because he was being asked to jump indoors. He'll bunny hop and mini-rear and spin and generally fart about and refuse to canter or contemplate jumping doubles. The smallest thing can set him off really. He eats his own bodyweight twice a day, wears rugs thicker than my duvet in a stable warmer than my bedroom and still shivers. He's a complete nuisance.

(admittedly, he can jump 1.10m XC like it's nothing at all, has paces to die for, is very very pretty, exceptionally trainable if he's dealt with properly and is a real sweetheart to have about- far nicer than the cobs and warmbloods and natives we've owned...!)

Poor trolling attempt though. Because everyone knows that TBs are ***** anyway...

Hmmm....Why do people make such ignorant/sweeping statements if not only to bring attention to themselves.

But just to humour you a here's two top level tb's that I can think of at short notice
Miners Frolic (Tina cook)
Inonothing, last years Badders winner with Paul Tapner

Couldnt agree more. Back in my day (LOL) trolls were amusing. Perhaps that is why I didn't recognise this at a trolling post??

Quite possibly. Also this one did sort of follow the rules of trolling by doing some non-troll threads first.

It's less entertaining now because it's so OBVIOUS the new ones are trolls, so nobody bothers rising to it. Popcorn?
