Hi everyone! If any of you have got any advice or experience on cobs and their rate of maturity, please pass it on! I'm completely new to this and need all the advice I can get.
I have recently bought my first cob who I would like to do a bit of showing with. He currently stands at 14.3hh. He was a late foal and is 4 this year. He is Clydesdale x Hackney. He still has a very 'baby face', if you know what i mean?!
When I bought him a few weeks ago, he looked very level between his wither and his back end so we were doubtful that he would grow much but over the last few days his back end appears to have grown a bit. Is it likely he will grow some more at this age? Someone has told me that cobs do mature quite slowly. It would be great if we could get to about 15.1hh as all the other cobs in his class look much taller and chunkier (even though we initially thought he might even be too chunky to show!) Is he likely to fill out much more at 4?
