Windy, windy, wind, please go away!

I thought I would lunge safer as his already had two days off, we did manage it but had lots of scooting around as there were plastic bags and a carboard box flying about:)

I'm sitting watching the sleet slide down the window between moments of blinding sunshine, the wind is ferocious so I've had to cancel my lessons scheduled for tonight as I don't think I could make myself heard of the roar of the wind and the roof rattling on my school. Roll on summer!

The wind gives me earache too. Doesn't just pee me off horse wise.
At least on Thursday it's meant to be better. Luckily my lad is spooky all the time; wind or none so I ride no matter what!

Mine are both out. They are not bothered in the slightest. Walking to and from yard to do field checks has been interesting though - dog almost blown off his feet and my glasses had to be relegated to my pocket to avoid losing them!

I posted earlier mithering about OH who was due to fly back from Hamburg tonight. Was relieved to hear his flight was one of many to be cancelled due to the weather. He's currently holed up in the airport hotel and is booked on an early flight back tomorrow (forecast is much better).

Glad we'd finally got around to replacing the last of all our old wooden fencing, think it would otherwise be lying flat on the ground now.

Mine are out, and perfectly happy - except for the hay situation. Their morning hay blew away into the ponies paddock, so tonight they have haynets tied round the bottom of fenceposts (Both unshod, so perfectly safe!) There was much snorting and silliness - they aren't going to get shocks, as the tape is on the other side of the post, but they are convinced they are going to die!

Terrier pup blown off course, when haring up the field at full tilt which was quite funny to watch.

Big ginger lad was very good in the (wide open, windswept) school, despite me being almost blown out of the saddle. He's been out all day too - he just turns his bum to the wind, puts his head down and starts chomping.

Still too windy to ride today :( mine are out happily munching away but will come in again tonight, mainly to get them off the grass as it's coming through fast now! And to let them have a sleep without fear of being blown away :) haven't ridden since last Thurs, and then it was a windy gusty day also bin day, huge mistake! Jester literally spent the whole time on his toes spooking! A bunch of wheely bins flew over behind us causing a right clatter and bang, yes he did freak out but didn't bolt so for that reason the hack built my confidence :) so for now he can enjoy being a field ornament until the wind and rain dies down!

Not to much better today! I agree! Safe to say we did nog go to said clinic last night, wouldn't of been to bad riding in the indoor school but getting there.. Well we might of literally be blown there :D here's fingers crossing Thursday is better and we won't have to cancel our lesson!
Glad I'm not the only one the weather is really upsetting ATM! :D
