So someone mentioned a while back about replacing the girth straps on their wintec saddle with leather ones as the synthetic ones needed replaced. TBH I need to replace mine but I didn’t actually realise how easy it was. I assume the bates leather ones will work on the wintec? so my question is would you choose the leather or synthetic ones? And any reason why?

Leather, harder wearing, but remember to condition (not oil) them.

I just bought a set for my Wintec Lite all purpose with long billets (22” so I bought the 24” ones). But the loop end of the straps that go though the saddle loops are too short by like an inch or so. I can’t get the billets to go back through to attach them. Had to put my old cracked plastic ones back on. Bummer!!
