Wintec replacement girth straps. Synthetic or leather?

So someone mentioned a while back about replacing the girth straps on their wintec saddle with leather ones as the synthetic ones needed replaced. TBH I need to replace mine but I didn’t actually realise how easy it was. I assume the bates leather ones will work on the wintec? so my question is would you choose the leather or synthetic ones? And any reason why?

I've just lent my Wintec wide to a friend to try. If it comes back then I'll replace girth straps (I think 3 need replacing as I recall) with leather as the cracking on the original ones annoys me!

Leather, harder wearing, but remember to condition (not oil) them.
