Thanks, I do have a couple of flannels actually so can do that. The Clarins one I mentioned I just used to wipe off with cotton wool and no water at all so I guess that's why I never felt as clean.

Seems like I have a lot to learn about getting older skin care!

I also wanted to say the Charlotte tillbury moisturisers made dust stick to my face so not good to wear around horses it also gave me black heads the night cream was ok serum was rubbish just incase anyone looking for a moisturiser thinks there worth the hype there not.
The makeup is lovely though I use the cream eyeshadow and lip liner and gloss in pillow talk.

I love Liz Earle stuff the cleanse and polish is brilliant and I use alot of her range.

It might be worth thinking about using an emollient rather than a normal moisturiser. Epaderm is great. Diprobase or Oilatum are others. Creams are lighter. Ointments richer but great for really sore patches.

It’s really important to get ahead of the curve on dryness as it leads to all sorts of issues.
I was prescribed Dermol for dry skin some years ago. Doctor now says not to use it all the time as it is antibacterial. I was told to go to the pharmacist and ask about an emollient cream or wash

I use either La Roche Posay Toleriane or one from Beauty Pie - called Happy Skin I think? Both are surprisingly light but super moisturising and don't irritate my sensitive skin, I find they stand up really well to wind & cold. If I need even more oomph, I'd probably add a face oil - Pai do a nice rosehip one, Clarins does a gorgeous one too - Blue Lotus maybe?
I found La Roche Posay was one of the worst things that I could put on my skin.

I use Olay regenerist products and Temple Spa….hylauranic products don’t agree with me…everyone s skin reacts so differently to the same products…why not go to a large dept store and at each counter explain the problem and say you need samples to try before a big commitment financially.

There are several I'd not put on my skin but they have a huge range, the Cicabalm is wonderful stuff and recommended by a lot of dermatologists, very simple ingredients.

Nor me, The Ordinary marine hyaluronics isn't actually HA and is lovely.

If your use a HA make sure your face is damp. The HA will bind with the water for extra moisture absorption
Yep, however you don't need to do that as much in the summer as the warmer air holds more moisture, and, especially if the air is drier, it needs sealing in with a moisturiser or oil otherwise the air will pull the moisture out.
