Typing this with my foot in a bowl of cold water and using carling as the pain killer..... my wonderful big fat 17hh warmblood decided to defend me when one of the other horses lunged at me..... only problem was my foot was where he lunged at the other horse.... you know that sick hot feeling and wish you were stood in a muddy field rather than on concrete..... you know that feeling when you cant even shout at him to get off and you just hope and prary that when he feels you foot squish he will jump of it..... well it squished and he jumped off..... i loosed him and dissapeared at a half walk, hop, run whilst wondering if too scream, wail or be sick ! He just stood there looking at me in a bemused way - as i went through several "silly walks"
Did not get boot off until i had finished all the yard chores and as soon as boot off - foot now twice the size and has gone very black and red.... no toes crushed fortunatly but i think the pressure has popped my big toe nail off!
So what do you guys reckon...? broke or not broke, visit hospital for the usual 5 hour wait with the drunks or just wait and see what tomorrow brings !
