Had a great weekend away at a flyball comp. Saw Weevil with Sprocket on Saturday.
Skye went into top team as they were down the fastest dog, we weren't expecting them to win anything, but they all ran really well and got a fastest time of 18.34, so really good, they had declared 18.00 with the fastest dog.
Star had her 1st Starters comp, thrown in at the deepend, didn't think she'd be ready yet, she's only been picking up the ball a few months, done 3 full runs at training (1 of them was at a demo), never ran with dogs in another lane or done a changeover. She ran last dog and didn't do tight changeovers, more because the 3rd dog wouldn't take them, only the 1st training run did she think she could go try and chase the other dogs, didn't think she'd get to run, but when 1 of the other dogs were getting a bit stressed, she was put in and she ran perfect all day. Her team came 3rd.
Enough chat, here's the pics of the weekend.
Saturday. The top team, 1st dog, Mitch, Rottie x Flatcoat x BC.
2nd dog, Henry, Staffie x BC, height dog
Then Skye, excuse my shouting 'GO!'. (the last dog in the team, bouncing around, Jamie, Beardie).
Skye bringing the ball back
The team between runs
Sheltering from the hail stones
Skye relaxing outside the ring
Sunday. Star's team
1st dog, Fizz, Rottie, 2nd dog, Shem, BC, 3rd dog, Spinner, Flatcoat, then Star (ran by my friend), also in the team, Luke, BC.
Star bringing the ball back
Star watching from outside the ring
and her attention on me.
then Star today with her rosette
