Just been and picked up some bags of wood pellets and put them down-but with the recommended amount of water the bed seems to be damp. Does it stay damp or dry out?

it will need to be very slightly damp so it doesnt dry out and go dusty, i didnt get on with it very well though, as i found it worked better semi deep litter, but then was very heavy when wet, alos the horses semmed mucky all the time with more stable stains and a gritty coat

I have just started to use the wood pellet bedding (this week) and so far I luv it

I put 9 bags in the stable (14x14) got the hose pipe and gave the wood pellets a good soaking, then left it for an hour or two before the horse went in to the stable. The bedding is'nt damp, & mucking out is easy and less waste of bedding.

No not damp...perhaps you've put a little bit too much water on them...I love wood pellet...but find that just putting enough water on them to start the breaking up process best..let your horse do the work....
