Wood pellets

I use white horse energy, started off with Platinum Plus but tbh these days I just get whatever is on offer when I'm buying. I'm on Firepower ones at the moment and they are just as good :) I ordered a few weeks ago and delivery arrived in 3 days.

if you're a new customer my referral code is JorRac16144 and gets you 5% off :)

I don’t want to buy in bulk, moving a tonne from the drive to behind the gate one day was zero fun. I just bought 5 bags from Pets at Home, I think they’re catching on to us lot buying them, cos they’ve upped the price! £6.49 for a 30 litre bag.

Same,it’s so nice to have stuff there on tap, although I do once remember having a pallet delivered to my home address and they literally left it curb side. I had to hand ball all that to the shed!

White horse energy deliveries are dreadful, we had two separate deliveries that never arrived when they said they would and i took time off work to wait in. I spent hours on the phone trying to sort it out and white horse energy werent really interested, just blamed it on Palletways both times. We refused to use them for a third time.

I looked at them, I was sure it used to be a cheap option. Wasn’t sure how litres translate to kg

how weird, I've used them for about 5 years or so and never had a problem.

Maybe I've just been lucky but I've had deliveries to 3 addresses over the years and it's always been oK with Palletways. mind you I seem to be pretty lucky with companies like Hermes too :p

Ah as simple as that! ?

30 litres of wood pellets is not 30kg. A while back I weighed the pets at home brand and they were around the 15kg mark same as the white horse ones. One was slightly more than the other but not by much. The white horse ones work out significantly cheaper especially if you are buying in bulk.

I also have had issues with delivery. Last time instead of delivering to the “delivery address” when I received the email from Palletways it was being delivered that afternoon they were going to deliver two pallets I.e. 130bags to my home address! Which is a terrace with a small parking space in front of it.

I rang Palletways immediately but they Farm it out to another delivery company. So I rang them and they were adamant at first that they could not change the delivery address without me contacting WHE first. Luckily just by coincidence the family who owns of the transport company keep their horses on my yard and I was able to go direct through them.

I’ve ordered at least twice before so I don’t know why they decided to deliver to my home address. What I noticed was that WHE do not send you an email confirming your order and delivery details so you can’t pick up if they are wrong. In addition you can’t seem to edit your account except when you make and order which is bonkers on both counts.

Sorbeo! They seem to be superior to any others. White horse didn’t gt a good review at the last yard nor did Verdo.

No I used Verdo once and hated it.
Sorbeo are quite expensive per pallet but about the same as everywhere else for a quarter pallet which tbh I think is what I may go for first to be sure it’s ok!
Are the bags quite strong? I used to cut a X and pour water into the bag. Tried straw pellets more recently and did the same but the bags all leaked and split.

I think they’re dearer but they work out more absorbable. They are 18kg bags too where I’m sure others are 15kg maybe? I’ve always found the bags fine, they’re fine to fill with water. They’re better being kept under cover though, i had a pallet kept outside under a tarpaulin and some water got in and the corners swelled a bit.
