I rode my girl tonight
Its been 6 looooonnnnnngggg weeks since she went lame, lots of nerve blocks and a scan later showed she had lots of scar tissue and inflammation in her tendon sheath. Vets mentioned sending her for an operation, where they would cut the annular ligament and get rid of the scar tissue. I went for the only other option, steroid injections and leave her in the field for 4-5 weeks, lots of waiting. At the end of the 5 weeks she got an abcess, so now has a big hole in her foot, but its healed now
Trotted her up today and she's sound
The windgalls on that leg are a bit softer now, and I can start bringing her into work
Soooo relieved. Was scared she'd still need the operation.
