so... having forayed into the world of a WCS I have to admit we are smitten!!

Boo is a constant source of entertainment, loving, hilarious..... mind you, keeping him out of the duck pond is a little tedious ;)

Anyway - he is now 15 weeks and is completely smooth coated!! A couple of people (inc the vet) commented on how smooth/short his coat is. It hadnt crossed my mind before, so lets see pic of yours and what are their coats like?

he is hard to get pics of, spanner owners will understand this :D

however... here he is!

as a side note.... this floating toy belonged to my first dog (a black lab) and has been kept in the cupboard ever since. Its survived 4 house moves. And having had collies for years and years...... it seemed fitting to get it out for the Spaniel :) 22 years on!!! :)

Again, not a WCS, but Smutley was smmoth haired until maybe 6 months, so he may change. He is gorgeous, and how lovely to re use the toy. Mind you, Smut has wrecked all the labs toys, that have survived many a lab puppy! The persistence of a spaniel is too much.

You can't beat a WCS :D

Mine has always been smooth coated

But I know of lots of fluffy ones too! When he goes through his fluffy stage - leave it alone! Don't be tempted to clip it off.

Mrs Spaniel has completely converted me and I'm hoping to get another in a year or two all being well.

I agree about the clipping thing and regret every day having done it once.
