I work on a farm & I'm short!!
I wear leggings with cheap over trousers & take a pair of scissors to the bottom of the legs! The Flexothane ones don't fray. On very cold days you can put long-johns or a second bigger pair of leggings underneath. My waterproof layer live on my wellies - just pull down & take off together!

Over the years I've tried most makes of "Work Wear" & find they are all shaped for men - which is to say if they fit your bum, the waist would fit two of you & you need to take the legs up by more than a foot! (I am not particularly curvy.)
I’m so glad it isn’t just me that has to cut the bottoms off my trousers - I have been known to staple them up in the past!

Sorry I tried to put a link to the leggings in a post earlier.

If you search fleece lined waterproof ladies leggings in Amazon they should come up. They are the Baleaf ones and are about £26.00 a pair. The sizing guide is very good. I'm 5ft 8 and 28" waist and the medium is perfect.

I've just invested in a few pairs of fleece lined water resistant leggings off Amazon.
They've been amazing so far. So snuggly and warm and non restrictive, in that you can move in them. I wear them over tights and pull long socks over them. They have handy phone pockets too. They wash and dry pretty quickly.
@Horseysheepy

I ordered some of these and they arrived today. Perfect thankyou 💖

I bought a shed load of black thermal leggings and roll necks from Lidl that were part of their ski season wear years ago and they’re still going! My husband calls it my *Winter plumage * 😬 I buy one of their ski jackets and ski trousers each year. They’re v warm, waterproof and cheap. When they get filthy n impregnated by late Spring, I dispose of them.

Hi everyone,

Anyone who works on a yard (mucking out, turning out, water, hay, poo picking etc, what are the best trousers to wear? I’ve been wearing old jodhpurs but am finding they take ages to dry (no tumble dryer!) and I’m washing my clothes pretty much after every wear because they are filthy and sweaty after lots of mucking out. As the job obviously isn’t well paid I’m not going to spend a fortune kitting myself out in expensive gear so would leggings be okay?

What do other people wear?
Fraid I just wear tracky bottoms then i keep them on all day unless riding. Even go shopping in them and if people ever comment and they never have, tough .

Well just a suggestion but I've been recently converted to wearing riding tights (older rider here, and YO) by Countrydale's ones.

I've got the ThermoDry ones; they were doing a special deal on them just before Xmas last year, and I got two pairs. They are lovely!! Gorgeous warm lining, and you can (and I have!!) worn them out in the rain and because they're so nicely insulated you just don't get cold in them!

I really rate them. Practically live in them - they're something I wear even when I'm not riding. You can get sticky-bum/legs or not, according to your preference.

They do lighter-weight ones too. Lots of nice roomy pockets which is helpful. And nice easy-care, just chuck in the wash and they always come out good.

Hope this helps.
