Worst names (horses)!

I've known a few, the most amusing had to be one years ago called Shifty. We'd gone to a rather dodgy local RS and friend had ridden this pony on a hack and been assured it was 'quiet', well, it was fine through the fields, but as soon as we touched tarmac it bolted (causing the rest of the ride to fly into a wild panic too). I assume that was the reason for it's name, because it couldn't half Shift! (and yes, the RS still use it I am told, and apparently it still 'shifts'... !

PS. Is it bad that I had to repeat Ardirection quietly to myself in different intonations until i got it?

My poor mare is called June! She originally came to me on loan so I couldn't change it and had her 5 years before I bought her so it stuck! My friend has a pony called Fanny too

My friend had a pony who was very bad tempered, if she was in a good temper she would put her ears back and walk off, if not you might get a bite or a kick off of her , so her daughter named her Kayfio, after my friend and me, part of each of our names, i don't think it was much of a complement do you ? Oh i have one called Brian and a Sultan

My 16.2hh warmblood is also called Lisa. Which usually results in, "wots your horses name?" Lisa "No, your horses name" and so on. Her show name was Lady Lysette when I got her which I promptly changed to Foxy Lady.

I also have 2 shetlands called Elvis and Scrumpy which I think are cool names. My pals horse is Steven and I know another horse, a grey arab, called Pirannah!!! She is a really sweet mare too!

I had a horse called Useless once.

A park I worked at years ago had riding ponies, we had three almost identical greys, Mark 1, Mark 2 and Mark 3.

A few of the interesting names I've known are:
Bimbo - for a gelding!??
Doodle
A shetland cross called Brambles, who we nicknamed Brambo, cos she was a terror!
Zebedee
Pig
MaryLou

My old horse arrived from a dealers named...
Centre Parks!!
His name didnt get much better, as i got changed to Billy (as in Billy no mates!!)

used to ride a pony called Friday.
Current 12hh welsh PB is called snowflake.... its skewbald!! WTF?!?! So i call him houdini!

Thought of some more.... Thought about buying a Welsh D called Mark, and I too know a Bruce, although it suits him down to the ground! Also knew a pony called Pony, Mazzie's nickname used to be Donkey (she did have big ears....)

My lovely Westphalian is Andy. He was Randy when he came to me, and while I found it quite amusing, I got fed up of people's reaction to his name. Didn't want to completely change his name so we just dropped the R. I am used to it now, and quite like the fact he has a human name!! It also though happens to be my boss' name so I do have to be careful when discussing him at work
