Not necessarily horse related!
Mum got a pair of pyjama bottoms. No top, just the bottoms. If that wasn't odd enough they were size 14-16 when she is a 10-12 and has been for ever. Could be excused if they didn't know her or her size but it was her brother in law who lives round the corner.
Can anyone beat that?

Not really a fan of worst presents . . . gifts are just that, gifts . . . my favourites this year were a recipe card box from my MIL complete with three of her cherished family recipes (made me cry), and a picture of my beloved dog Daisy drawn by my (nearly) 16-year-old daughter (she's a GCSE art student and it's seriously good).

Sorry - but I prefer to be positive. It's Christmas.

LOL ! That is funny. I think my worst presents were chocolates. I am a chocoholic but until I've had an operation I can't eat them. It's torture ;)

All my presents were awesome this year :D

Though I did get a horsey shirt from my brother a few years ago and it looked AWFUL on me (He wasn't to know) but the fabric is simply stunning, so it's in my draw and I get it out and look at it every now and then :) I love it too much to get rid!

I have to say I agree with you. But not sure what one can do with pj bottoms on their own and big enough to fit both me and her in them.

If it counts as a gift, I got a very horrid text message from my ex boss, telling me I was beyond rubbish at the job, and wished my new boss luck! I worked for her for 3 years... It certainly tops any physical 'bad' gift I've ever had.
I need more wine....

My (horsey!) mum got me a BRIGHT pink fly veil with pink binding. Which would be cute, if I was 11 lol!
My poor 16hh gelding will be mortified!

This.

I'm not sure I can choose a favourite present, as I really like them all.

FWIW, I routinely wear PJ bottoms with just a vest top & not as part of a set - for this reason I often just buy PJ bottoms.

Not a bad present but my ph has got me the most beautiful diamond, white gold ring but it's ever so slightly too big and I'm too scared to wear it in case I lose it. I think the next size down is too small as well so not sure what to do.

Every Christmas, I get two pj bottoms, just the bottoms. Wear them around the house as lounge pants. I wear a hoody or vest top instead of the traditional pj tops.

They're adjustable, bit of pinning and the sewing machine job's a gooden.

Take it to a good jewellers, and they should be able to alter it for you. I've had this done with a few rings, and at a decent jewellers, it has never been a problem.

I know tartan is on trend BUT - I got a grey tartan handbag to be quite honest I wouldn't even give it to my Granny ! it gave my family a chuckle !

Didn't think of that, will do that in the coming weeks. Ridiculously excited about wearing it :) also going to get it insured just in case

My teenage son excelled himself this year, he got me a watch I had said I liked back in the summer. He has never gone to more than a box of chocs previously, I was so so touched. It's a lovely seconda with sparkly pinky strap. Got lovely slippers from mum, and scarf from sis, and cd from aunty. Whatever gift I get its welcome.

My worst present....... Lovely chipped back molar from one of those cake decoration ice ball things! 1/4 of a tooth gone!!! Good job I got some money for Xmas, the turnout rug will have to wait!

However the rest was pretty damn good!

My mum promiced me a DSLR camera a few yrs ago and instead got me a pan... Not a set of pan's i might add, just a pan!! And whats worse is it had leopard print and rose patterns on it! I HATE tacky girly stuff!!... Honestly shes lucky i didnt wrap it round her head! That was a terrible xmas! Haha :p

My mum is a teacher and sometimes gets some slightly odd gifts from the kids in her class! This year it was some clothes pegs and a box of 5 miniature torches :D Hope you've all had a great Christmas!

Son gave me a set of saucepans. I was delighted until he mentioned that he'd originally bought me a beautiful gold bracelet but when he saw the pans he thought I'd prefer them and gave the bracelet to his sister instead.
Dear boy :)

I do the same. But I'm 29 and my mum is a rather Conservative retired lady of 61 and doesn't do lounge wear!!

I would normally be grateful for any present but two years ago my mum bought me a nail kit that helps smooth out any lines . We have a smallholding with pigs, sheep, chucks and 6 horses , oh and two kids , I work in a garden nursery . Do I notice if my nails have lines on them /????

A very horsey colleague (she competes) gave me a cat mug, cat coaster and cat mini tray. :confused3: She knows I have dogs, not cats. She has a cat. Surely she'd get me something horsey or doggy? I found it a bit odd. I'd never get anyone something dog or horse related unless they were into them! She normally gets me smellies, which I adore!

I am normally grateful for whatever turns up under the tree, but the year my mother gave me a re-chargeable sweeper just had me in hysterics. I so not known for my domesticity.
