Wotsits own thread

Oh and on the no feeding thing - on days where mine have to be starved for a procedure, I get up and go straight out, come home with enough time to scoop them into their boxes and get them to the vet 🫣 They seem to settle without me there, if I'm in I get harassed by them and it drives us all potty as they don't understand why the usual routine is broken.

It’s seemed like a long wait for Polly, she’s sure she has been old enough to be allowed out for ages!
They may be a tad younger than usual 🤷‍♀️ I’m eager to do is asap though having a girl and boy and absolutely not wanting to risk a litter!

As for the Figgy suit! I have no idea, it hadn’t even occurred to me but I don’t think she would really handle a cone, she’d be lethal.
I’ll ask about that when I drop them off. I do have a tiny blow up cone thing somewhere which may fit and be better.
I wonder how the suits work re- toileting.
Wotsit will be fine, he’ll just sleep a little bit more 😂

Usual morning routine is I get up, open the door and In she flies! Wotsit toddles behind yawning.
I get sorted and feeding them is first job. I will actually have to go straight out earlier anyway though to do the horses in time to leave for the vets. So Mr P can deal with the starving faces!

I bought a big carrier! Wasn’t sure if they should do in together or have one each. I think I’ll take a second later so Poly can chill a bit and not risk being squished by the lummox

I feel weirdly a bit teary leaving them 😳
Not weird at all, perfectly normal 🤗

Lummox 🥰

It's lovely that they get on well enough to be ok in the same carrier, shows the benefits of growing up together.

They get on so incredibly well. They are sometimes apart but mostly together. I think they would have definitely found it harder seperated. As it was the carrier was vibrating with double purrs!
Its been really sweet having them grow up together and they play and play and play endlessly. It's made me think IF i were ever to go get a kitten (which I won't) I'd have to get two together!
My friends two at the livery yard are much the same. They do spend time apart but ususlly if one's around the other will be fairly close by.

These days most rescues seem to rehome kittens in pairs. I would love a pair from 'new' one day. Ours turn up individually as and when, and have to learn to live with one another.

Most of my cats have come in threes or twos. The last one was a single and she's a menace to society. When tiny they are very sweet and play/cuddle, but soon as they hit 1 year they take to ignoring/bashing each should their paths cross.

Hope you get a call v soon to pick the little fluffs up 🥰

I have an appointment to go back at 4pm, They did say they would let me know when they were both out of surgery though. Not heard anything yet but that's fine. I'm not really worried. They are both healthy- apart from Polly's thing and I dont anticipate any issues other than trying to keep Polly calm for a week

The size thing makes me wonder even more if they are actually the same litter. He was so tiny compared to her and was found, what, 2/3 weeks later than her. He's now huge and looks like a totally different sort of cat. Who knows!

Mum is still around and happy, unfortunatly Neighbour has seen another two about the same size roughly as my two on her camera recently it the same place so is trying to catch them, I think they are a bit more wise not being tiny babies anymore.

I think your picture of them both in the carrier leaves no doubt they are brother & sister! I thought that before you posted!

They do look similar there I admit!
Facially, body personality wise though they couldn’t be more different!
She is very much like a Siamese type. Tall, slim , a very narrow face. She’s very very vocal, not just normal meows but weird noises!

He has a far wider everything, huge feet, and is silent. He opens his mouth and nothing comes out!

I mean they must be related I guess, the arrival of the other two on the camera would make them a litter of 13 though. Surely that’s too many?

Is there cat DNA tests!

Oh btw they might be from same litter with different fathers!!

I find silent miaowers very endearing. While I also like chatty cats a lot, being yelled at from the rug while I'm trying to work and it's still two hours to supper is sometimes a tiny bit trying :o Though I rarely admit to such a terrible character flaw.

I agree! Totally! I have a horse that yells constantly and it fries my brain!

How are the little guys doing @poiuytrewq ?
Wotsit is absolutely back to normal. Purring loudly eating a lot and snoozing often. Regular Wotsit!

Poor Polly, she has a little outfit which doesn’t fit!
I’ve tried putting g a few stitches here and there but realistically I can’t leave her in it unsupervised as she keeps threatening to jump off things with one leg stuck in her suit or just falling over.
She got if off completely when I went to do the horses, she’s much happier without it.
Annoyingly I paid £30 which would be fine if it fitted! 🤣

Anyhow, they have both eaten lots and she is now asleep.

Glad they're fine and poor Polly, how hard is it to get something to fit a tiny quadruped with a tail and the ability to get through any size hole....!?

Absultely. Poor girl 🤣 It's amazing!
A few hours ago she was all over the place and now she's back to normal.
My first cat off the street was pregnant and in poor condition. She had a big abscess drained and midline spay and pts of the kittens all in one go :( They said 'give her a light meal and keep her quiet'. Got her home, let her out of the carrier and started to make her a meal. Next thing I knew she was on the kitchen counter helping me! She did not get the memo! Fortunately the stitches held.
