Wotsits own thread

Well I’d say it’s all official. He’s just had his first injections and microchip. He was very quiet and non bothered, unlike Princess Polly who yowled the place down when she was chipped!

The vet thinks Wotsit is absolutely fine, she agreed his back legs and huge tummy looked a bit odd but gave all his joints etc a good check over and said he appears fine and maybe just needs to grow into himself and have another course of wormer just incase.

Again Pollys condition became really obvious, her pretty little head was floating around like she was totally out of it. However she was purring so loudly that they had a job to hear her heart beat 😂🥰

We are back home, they have both had a good feed and play is resumed!

Wotsit has trebled in size! Just scrumptious photos of them all.
My pilates instructor has just got a kitten. Her lovely big cat and dog are not very accepting so far. Apparently kitten is nuts. Bengal/ragdoll cross.

He was 660g and is now not far off 1kg.
Vet thinks he is just the runt of the same litter.

Poor Pilates instructor 😩 it is a bit stressful!
When Arlo was little my dog shook him, he was playing but it’s made me be double careful this time round. The first week with Polly I couldn’t see things working out.
The dogs were just too excited. Now the kittens use the bigger two as play equipment and they don’t even open their eyes.

More Wotsit pics please -preferably with his adorable tum on show if that's not being too demanding! I love his spots too.

We had a tiny puppy adopted on our yard a few years ago. She was very, very young, about 4 weeks old, and had been abandoned at the vets. She had such an enormous tummy she was called Potato for a while, but has grown into the nicest, friendliest little scrap you could ever meet.

Who abandons a puppy? Poor little thing :(

Wotsit is definitey a he yes! which is a relief as it would ahve been difficult changing that!
Unfortunately for some reason it turns out boy cats are more expensive to insure 🤷‍♀️ They both have 5 weeks free anyway but I did get some quotes and he is about a third more expensive. I haven't signed up for anything as I need to speak to someone re the Cerrebella Hypoplasia as obviously that needs declaring but will it then be an excuse if she ever has an accident not to pay. The vet said she may be more prone to injury and accidents because of it, She may be a self insure job perhaps.
- Can anyone advise on that?

Showing off his belly fluffs 😍 Ah Polly, hope she is sleeping off the hard morning and will be back to normal when she wakes.

I have 7.5 cats currently, and have many more before, only one of which we ever insured as once you get over 2/3 it's prohibitively expensive. We've not insured our latest dog either (ex breeding lab, so was 7 when we got her) as at that age it's easier to self insure as the premiums are sky high and usually now co-insurance polices.

I'd imagine Polly's insurance will be quite high, and as you say anything that could be linked will be excluded so would definitely check all small print on a policy for her.

7.5?? How so?
I think you're right though. I've always insured everyone but if i put aside now what I spend each month I'd probably be better off really.
Even if i insured carefully amd honestly if the time came and i had to claim I'd never be able to prove an injury wasn't caused by lack of balance or speed of rection. In reality she is hugely faster and more agile than Wotsit is 99.9% of the time.

The .5 is a feral cat we feed. Several times a day he knocks on the door to demand breakfast/brunch/elevensies/lunch/afternoon tea/dinner/supper/midnight snack. He's pretty much stopped hissing at us now but he won't let us touch him 😒 Till he allows fusses (and us to take him to the vets for a snip n chip) I refuse to acknowledge him being fully ours, DSW is far softer than me and counts him fully 🤭

Here he is with his girlfriend Hermione. His name is Roger

She does look tiny. As he grows he makes her look smaller. He is still the smaller weight wise but she is so dainty and little. Her face reminds me of a little fairy. Big eyes and tiny features.
I think because she struggles with new places, although she seems happy to be there at the time it’s just a lot for her.
I was supposed to drop the carrier back as I’d borrowed it but didn’t have the heart to turf her out!
She did come in the evening later on and sleep on the chair with Cecil for a bit.
Much more herself this morning 🥰
