I find silent miaowers very endearing. While I also like chatty cats a lot, being yelled at from the rug while I'm trying to work and it's still two hours to supper is sometimes a tiny bit trying :o Though I rarely admit to such a terrible character flaw.
I have a silent miaower. He's also quite big, black and very fluffy. We nicknamed him Whisper, after the Bond henchman in Live and Let Die. "Champagne, sir?"

It's so cute when he does it, as you just see a pink bit appear on the black void. When he's upset, he makes VERY strange noises!

That’s so cute! They do seem to open their mouth very widely for no sound 😂🥰

In the spirit of reciprocity can I offer Jingles having words with a relation... !

She is always on the draining board. It’s her place now, if Polly is missing check the sink. Unfortunately it means the sink is constantly covered in tiny little paw prints!

Her head kind of floats around quite a lot. It’s the only symptom I see though. They usually have a higher gait apparently but I don’t see that in her.
The one side slightly confused looks are cute.

That is funny, does she use it as a window-looking-out perch as well? When she's bigger it's going to be fun 😁

That’s so sad. I’ve never seen cats sleep like that. Did you have them both from tiny kittens?
No. Adopted 31st May 2024, both estimated 1yo. Willy was my little cat who broke his leg and jaw. Ultimately I think that is what led to his blocked urethra, which reblocked despite surgery (I believe due to nerve damage/scarring). They properly snuggled together. It was very sweet.
