HI
I am just about to back my youngster over the winter - but am going to stuggle to keep up with riding him in the summer due to work.
The plan is to back him and start gentle riding for a month or so in December. Turn away again and then back into work March time?
I could keep him ticking over with the odd ride or 2 a week until the autumn when my work quietens down. Or do you think people would be interested in sharing a horse once he is back in work in April? Or earlier if they want to help back?
I have a hunch he is going to be fairly straight forward as he is so laid back and has taken to a saddle without a flinch.
There is oodles of off road hacking and an indoor school to ride in.
He is 4 next year and is 15.2/3hh warmbloodxwelsh d. He loves attention and keeping occupied so I really think once he starts working he will be best to keep going.
I hope that makes sense as I feel I have just rambled!
