would these photos put you off?

wow thank you all so much for your response, some really good tips there. Will get the shampoo out for a bath! She is halfbred QH and half Irish lightweight cob type, her dad is actually a very well bred and well known QH and she is registered with the AQHA UK as partbred QH and she will make a decent height so im not thinking the photos dont do her justice whatsoever!!!

She is lovely and the more you can do to show her off and help her get a lovely new home. Here is a link to a HHO article on choosing photos & selling your horse

Rubbish photos, sorry! She's lovely but you'll never sell her with them. Never say never. If someone is interested enough they'll go and see in the flesh:)

Give her a bath, scrub her nice and clean, get someone to help you. Have her feet done so she's in tip top condition. Use ONE headcollar, same in every photo. Ideally one side on, her stood square, head up (not sky high, just not like no. 2!), another nice one of her head, and perhaps one of her moving (if she moves nicely?).

She's really nice and you will sell her but not if you use those photos!

Have fun making her all shiny :D x

As everyone said these aren't the best, but they aren't the worst either;)
I wouldn't use them, but if you did, #1 is the best of them.

The photos won't stop viewing by someone who is looking for a palomino filly and can see beyond an unflattering angle on a picture, but it will cut down the interest because it isn't eyegrabbing enough to make her stand out on a page, and some people just don't seem to be able to see past a photo.

Good Luck, she is a useful type, will grow to a good size and has her colour as an added advantage.

As has been said, bath, trim feet (although I don't think they are that bad), try to present her mane and tail well, and a plain headcollar and rope.

Picture 1) Stand her up square, side on sho, against a contrasting background - I'd go for the field (poo picked) or hedge. Doesn't matter if there's a person in the shot, they can be cropped out if necessary.

Picture 2) A nice trot shot, either in hand or loose.

As said, clean her up and stand her square in front of a simple background. Then let her have a little play in the school and see if you can get a nice trotting shot. Good photos make a lot of difference when selling. Good professional looking photos automatically give the impression that you are serious.

When I see a nuffy looking photo of a horse I usually give a little  when I then read "amazing potential superstar!". If they think that a nuffy photo looks good then it doesn't bode well for what they think a superstar should be like!

She is seriously cute, make sure you show her off!

I like the top one and the head shot but dont think the others do her any favours as such. I also dont like the string halter over her headcollar as it looks like she's a handful! Be better if you could was her so she's immaculate, after all you wouldnt advertise your car looking dirty. She's very cute though ;)

yes indeed she is :-(

I have had a very sudden and unexpected change in circumstances which leaves me with no choice to sell her. I wanted to keep her forever. I really didnt think id have to part with her so soon :-(

Lots of good advice already. Sorry if someones said it already, I've only scanned through but I'd also want a nice side on shot showing her paces, its usually what catches my eye.

Ditto what everyone else said, and although it's not necessary if you can beg/borrow/steal an SLR camera, good quality photographs really do make such a difference.

She's lovely though, hope you find her a nice home.

hope these might be better, couldnt bath her as it was peeing with rain so managed to hose her legs off and give her a good brush and managed to get a few pics in between the heavy showers!

still not brilliant, you need someone stood in front of her out of the picture attracting her attention, a squeaky toy is good to get her ears pricked up and she might look a bit more sparky. Get her stood straight with her head up a bit more.

They are better but I still wouldn't say they are particularly eye catching :o

A lot depends on the market you are aiming her at and what price you are wanting for her, the photos will do the job of selling her but not if you are asking a lot for her.

I think these are much better (and you can see how old she is much better.....lol....she looked like a manky 12.2 very aged horse in the 1st of the last lot!). Will look again now, but the video isn't too good as the ground is so uneven and gravelly you can't really see how she trots very well.

If you can get her legs really clean for the "real" pictures that would be better too!

p.s. if you can get one without her pulling a funny face/mouth that would be good otherwise it looks like she's parrot mouthed or something:D

it was a nightmare today, typical welsh weather, wet and windy. I was hoping to take her into the sandschool to get some decent shots but the path to it is muddy and didnt want mud all up her legs! Felt so sad today, when I went to get her in she was laying down in the field and I sat with her for ten minutes and she rested her head on my legs and fell asleep. Talk about heart breaking :-(

I'd buy her but at the moment I have no idea how much Hippo's veterinary treatment will come to:(Sorry to hear you can't keep her, btw. Lovely little filly.

Nope, you will never sell her, so you might as well send her to me :D xx

Better pictures, still not great, again if you are asking big money, them I do not think they do her justice :(

Ps I am on the look for a new horse for me, so please feel free to pm me details, I am in no rush to ride, so a youngster is not out if the question :)

Is there no way you can find grass livery somewhere for her? :( Seems such a shame that you have to part with her and where theres a will theres a way!

Now there's some good news:)

get whoevers filming you to stand the other side, the video shows you running up and down more than the filly trotting!!

She really is gorgeous... You're not a million miles away from me Pixiebee so I've seen some of her photos... But Mr Dragon has got a Sec D baby and I told him he can't have two... :o

Is there anywhere close she can go out on just grass livery or maybe on loan to someone who wants a baby to fuss? You're obviously very attached to her and hopefully your circumstances will change for the better soon...
