........devil?

I know ex racers have some funny names but that has to be one of the worst! His real name is devilfishpoker.com, but his stable name is devil.

I bought him yesterday with the intentions of re schooling him, getting him out sj a few times, maybe a few ode then selling him on. He really is so un devil like it's funny, he should be called angel.

The name doesn't bother me, but I'm guessing it would put quite a few off when I come to sell him

So what does everyone think? Should I change it.....and if so what to? I've though of either diablo (devil in Spanish) or something poker related like Ace? Other suggestions welcome :)

I used to ride a horse called Buck - I don't think the name matters - so long as the horse doesn't live up to it.

Lol awww I like it ;)

Certainly wouldnt put me off. Mine's called Pennybid with a stable name of 'Ben' after his daddy Benny the Dip - how boring - so we renamed him Mister Benson. He didnt repnd to Ben anyway even to his last owners so I wasnt too bothered - he now comes to 'Benson' though :D

Could you not link it to something else perhaps? Devil wears Prada? Prada? x

My friend had a horse called Jinx. He certainly lived up to his name- threw a wobbler, and she came off, breaking her leg! Think he'd have done that anyway though, no matter what he was called x

Devil isn't really my cup of tea, you could always call him Lucifer? ;)
and then 'Lucy' when he is being silly! I used to ride a gelding called sophie, really suited him! He was called sofa (it splet it in the middle of his name) and then he was gelded so became so-phie.....:D:D:D

His real name is devilfishpoker.com, but his stable name is devil.

what about fish?! Weve had loads of animal names for horses over the years, frog, donkey, camel.....

It wouldn't put me off but some people are quite funny about things like that.

Diablo is a good idea.

My surname is Perry and my horse is called Perry. So poor thing is Perry Perry!

Bought one with a stable name of Jake, immediately shortened to J. Didn't think to ask his registered name, it may have made me think twice if I had, Goodinuff:o
So far have avoided using it at competitions, and really don't want to!

Call him Dev lol

I changed a horse name from Romany to Jake (Gypsy cob called Romany who has now been broken to plough???????? Plus can you imagine the way it would look if we actually came accross some proper gypsies)

Slightly bad luck, the horrible weather came, then his wolf teeth came through, lost weight and gave him grief. Hes only just coming back into work now, although at 4yrs old I think the time off done him the world of good. I would have done it for a riding horse so why not a driver.

I like the name! :D Certainly wouldn't put me off. Must admit I would probably shorten it to Dev - I'm lazy like that :)

It’s only a name at the end of the day, if you don’t like it change it (although some say it’s bad luck to change a horses name if you believe in that sort of thing) besides Devil is not that bad, I’ve called horses worse things :D

I like it, and you could shorten it to Dev as others have said. I think its bad luck to change there names! I had an ex racer called Speedy ... he was far from speedy more like captain slow  He usually got called Speeders though.

Another vote for Diablo.. I love that name.. My horse is called Pablo & I call him Pablo Diablo..lol. We also used to have a horse on our yard called Diablo & he was Dabs for short.
