If the horse was otherwise perfect in everyway?
What's the story behind the non matching feet? How long have they been shod like this? First impression is to run a mile.

My mare is shod similarly in front but in both feet and specifically to rescue the balance after poor farriery.
I'm assuming pretty much a few months as it happened in June.
It won't be a hind shoe, it is a side clip shoe. I don't think any horse is perfect, but no, I don't like odd feet, looks to me as though horse would be very unbalanced, even unsound, also does it need boots all round, is it knocking itself. Why is there a hind shoe on the front hoof? And is it me or does it look like the hooves were black but someone has sanded off most of the black?
