Report him to who and what for ?
Yes, as I said he was going at some speed - and actually had to swerve to miss a young girl with a baby in a pram before he got to me (country roads no pavement and blind corner, she shouted like hell, naturally, but was some way away from me) - hence him probably being peed off and then taking it out on us. If I'd have been on my Tb the results would have been very different today, I expect.
I think I will report it to the police non emerg line. My reasoning being: if it happens again and someone gets his number plate the police may be more likely to do something which then may save lives. I shall also report it to the bhs so that the incidents are logged to add to the statistics, without which, nothing ever gets done.
Thanks all.
As OP's have said this is not a real biker - in fact an idiot on a bike. So report it - the police may not be able to do anything (on this occasion) but if they don't know about these things how else can they take any measures against it?
Most bikers understand all to well how vulnerable they can be on the road and are most considerate of horse riders (my husband is a biker and although his horsepower is mechanical his experiences and riding style mirror my own - looking ahead, checking the road ahead for danger etc, and we often share tales of inconsiderate road users).

I would be careful how you word a complaint op. If he was actually speeding past, you wouldn't get chance to hear idiot comments, he'd be going too fast to hear. I think I know what you mean- idiot on bike not slowing down enough & shouting abuse. But reporting it as speeding implies he was over the speed limit, which he can prove he wasn't if you say you heard him. Then it puts your side of the story into question.
And I agree with everyone else, bikers are usually great, even the young lads & possibly illegal dirt bike riders. Can only think of one that's not been, & that was some inbred teens on a bridleway.
Did you take the reg? If not u can't expect the police to do anything and if you did its your word against his so they are unlikely to do anything.
