Mind you equally unbelievable to me is the kennels initial response......

'The day she took him home, she called us up and said there was a problem with Harvey as his colouring clashed with her lounge curtains. We told her to put him in another room, but two days later she brought him back and said she had spent a lot of money on her curtains and that she didn’t want Harvey any more.’

You seriously have to wonder what homechecks they do/don't do......

What you should have said is CAYLA "Im lead to believe you only rehome to people who's colour co-ordinated lounges don't clash with a dog" the I would say remove that comment or refute it:rolleyes: OR I could just say "nope we don't"
OR you could say CAYLA "I have had bad experiences with your fowl mouth, bullying and sending me dog **** in the post" and I would say "prove it then":D

LMAO, what u got all those books for, when you cannot even read, and the settee, WTF are u on (drugs):D
Im also "lead to believe you use that white cabinet as a crate"
Anyhow I have some perminent green hair dye, I can match u a dog to those (gorgeous) curtains:eek::D

I thought you approved of crate training?.......

Ozzie is only shut in there for 23hrs/day as his tan eyebrows clash horribly with the red foot stool.

Well yes his white hairs do show up quite badly if he ever sneaks onto the sofa, which is why he is kept locked in his crate or up the yard.:)

Yep gunna enter a couple, but need to be at home so I can dig out some others too (think it should be a JRT calendar as they are by far the most photogenic).;)

Note to self, check colour of curtains in future when doing homechecks!

I have to confess to choosing my new carpet to go with the dogs, it had to be muddy brown colour with slight hints of moulting GSD.:p

Henry clashes with everything when he first enters a room, but once he calms down and stops running around he generally gets a bit better at looking where he's going:p

Sadly, I have heard of this kind of thing happening before:mad:

We used to have a cat who matched our kitchen chair cushions so well he got sat on on a regular basis  Now I tend to go for contrasting colour schemes with my animals donchaknow :D

When I had my golden retriever I had dark blue carpet big mistake:eek:.We changed it the new golden/beige colour was perfect match for his hair but not the dirty paws. New pup is black grey tan and white one blue eye and one green what colour carpet should I opt for this time:rolleyes:

I used to have golden/wheat coloured settees. Then I moved back to the country and got a horse, met and married an oily mechanic, and got given a choc lab, which moulted all over them. I gave up, redecorated, and bought choc coloured settees, rugs and curtains!

Then, we got another lab from a rescue, and despite my OH warning me, I fell in love with a naughty little yellow one! Back to square one!

We are about to knock through to next door, which will create another living room - perhaps it should be golden???!!!

PS. Have to say that when I was chatting to the rescue on the phone, and told them that I was dithering over the yellow dog because I'd changed my sofa to choc to match the current dog, she laughed and didn't even do a home visit - said she'd heard enough on the phone to know that we were suitable! (To be fair, I had been talking about how the first lab had come to us fat and out of control, but had settled down very easily because we had 20 acres for it to run around, and we did meet her in person when we picked dog no 2 up)

I had a parrot brought into rescue for this very reason! The wife had redecorated and the parrot "clashed" with the wallpaper so they dumped it in rescue. Was the sweetest little thing too, found a wonderful home who loved him whether he clashed or not :D
