WWYD

I've just noticed that! I am sure that @southerncomfort must have had a slip of the finger, nobody would think your opening post was funny in any way at all. Unless of course they are your YO which I am sure they aren't. 😕

Hopefully they will see my tag and rectify the emoji, I can see how it would be upsetting after all that you have going on with the yard at the moment.I hope you are soon settled in at new yard and it turns out to be a blessing in disguise.😊
Thank you ❤️

On part livery but you have to do the feeds and hay???? wow poor service, I feed all my parts and diy's if they leave outside door but parts get fed and hay everyday included.
Yes, I do but I don't mind doing it to be honest. I double checked today with one of the staff and afternoon feed, hay and water check is included in part livery.

Tbh I now don’t tell YOs until I’m ready to leave. I quietly get packed up get my stuff sorted and my place at the new yard arranged then hand notice and go. The only place I haven’t done this is my last yard. He ran it like a business and didn’t have an emotional attachment. It was DIY and as long as you left it as you found it he wasn’t all that fussed, he knew he would fill the stable so income wasn’t the issues.

He gave me a hug when I was leaving and has said I’m welcome back any time, that’s the type of YO I think most should strive to be. Professional but personable and approachable.

Oh heck! Sorry! Yes, slip of the finger! 😬😳

Will go and rectify!

I just wanted to update this post to let you know we moved our pony this weekend, a little earlier than planned due to bizzare behaviour from YO but hey ho.

Pony is so much happier and although my pocket is lighter, as I've paid 2 x livery for this month, I'm so glad we moved him!

Thanks so much all, for your support and advice. ❤️

That's so good to hear, I'm in the process of quietly putting things in place to move coblet off his current livery yard of 2 years to a private owners offering lovely grazing a few more miles away.
Since coblets injury and subsequent retirement (and also my daughter share pony there dying) his current yard just doesn't suit anymore in as much as he doesn't need stabling and the limited grass/track turnout that it offers. The trouble is I'm dreading telling YO as she turns out every week day morning for me and still brings in 3 x week and she will take the move very personally and it will hit her in the pocket also due to the loss of another livery this month. I can see everything turning sour and me needing to vacate and pay a month also, even though OH says I have no contract and therefore dont need to pay a penny?

Missed your thread first time round so was nice to read a happy ending!
Can’t believe people act this way 😢

Hope you and your pony have a wonderful time at your new yard!

You do have a contract if you've been there 2 years, even if it's not a written contract. If you pay weekly you need to give 1 week notice, if you pay monthly, you must give 1 month notice BUT if you decide to leave early you don't have to pay for services/forage/bedding that you don't use .

OP, I'm glad it has worked out for you and pony is happy in his new home.
