Ok, Ive just suddenly decided that Id like to go do a mini ODE on Sunday.
It will be mine and my horses first time doing xc if I do go.

Its Intro dressage plus 50cm jumps.

But I dont have anything to wear. And I dont want to splash out on expensive xc clothes (because the ones Id like would be bought online and not arrive in time)

I dont know what the rules are as to what is and isnt acceptable, but I was wondering if I could get away with wearing this http://www.horserugs4u.com/acatalog/info_HH6110EXPM.html because it is the only rugby shirt I own? with my BP over the top of it and I could try to get a brown hat silk?

I just wear primark long sleeve t shirts under my bp if that is any help?

With my stock shirt and stock underneath I mean

I wear either a long sleeve rugby shirt type thing in navy blue, which matches a navy blue hat silk and saddlecloth that I already have; or a dark blue long sleeved Primark t-shirt top. Have no intention of spending a fortune on XC colours, esp when they're obscured by my navy blue BP. I just bought cheap stuff that matched that LOL!

Arghhh never even thought about saddlecloths and such :O :O :O

I have like 2 days to get things bought!!

You wear a stock shirt and stock for xc? I didn't know that??

I do. Dunno what other people do!

I just use a white saddle cloth fwiw and my primark tops are Bout four quid. I have loads of different colours but usually just use the navy one to go with my navy bp and navy ht silk. Aren't I boring?!

Second primark tops, they come in nice colours and its note worth paying 30 quid on something you can't see and they you can wear pale jods. I would choose a colour to match the stuff you already have to make it cheaper. You could always liven it up with some of those nice bright little overreach boots :)

You could definitely wear that brown rugby top. Maybe with a brown saddlecloth? Don't worry if not tho, just use the one you'll be wearing for showjumping. Not everyone is totally matchy. Lots just wear plain long sleeved t-shirts with matching silks.

Also, I don't wear a stock or shirt for xc, just a long sleeved top under my bp.

yeah that would be fine...you don't have to wear a stock but it does look smart and makes wearing the bp more comfy and you don't have to have a matching saddlecloth (unless of course you want a reason to buy some matchy matchy ;)
